Ooookay! So, where do I begin? I know this is going to sound dull, childish, ridiculous and *insert pejorative adjective here* but I seriously need to express my feels right now :3

Loving bands has always come natural to me, just like breathing/eating/sleeping/whatevs, so when I started to listen to Pearl Jam I knew that, sooner or later, I would have become obsessed with them… but man, I had never imagined myself loving them this much.

I mean… how is it even possible to find yourself in almost every fuckin’ song they composed? Like in a simple verse or a chorus or a bassline or I don’t even know what?!

But lemme get to the point: almost a year ago Pearl Jam played their epic Wrigley Field’s gig – yeah, the one with the ice water guy, the car horns and the almighty thunderstorm – and everybody was helping each other with the links to hear the concert online, thanks to the webcams, and that was the moment when I realized that PJ fandom wasn’t like the others… that was the moment when I realized that you guys were the ones that I really wanted to connect with.

So, a year has passed and look how many things have happened: Mind Your Manners excited us, Sirens moved us to tears, Lightning Bolt simply killed us… and then the U.S. tour, the Australian one and now the European too! I still remember the majestic peace of mind I felt when I was finally able to purchase PJ tickets for Milan gig – my first PJ concert, man, and we were 60 fuckin’ thousand people! That was one of the greatest and most fulfilling experiences of my life, I swear.

These are the things I always think about when I feel like shit – and believe me, these past months, and particularly this one, have been really hard for me… like a fuckin’ nightmare – and I also think about the people I had the opportunity to “meet” thanks to Pearl Jam :3

So I’d like to thank especially lifewasted and dangdingdong because I’ve reblogged a lot of their posts and they’ve never been rude or pissed off, but they kept on being the wonderful and brilliant girls that post epic things on their awesome blogs… sorry if I was a bit creepy, but you two are really fantastic and someday I’ll find the courage to start a proper conversation with both of you, ha! :'D

But this is a love letter to the PJ fandom in its entirety, so I’d like to thank you too, nice person who’s reading this little shitty thing right now: may the music and the lovely members of Pearl Jam keep on making us connecting with each other and giving some sort of light in our lives… someday I’ll be able to meet everyone of you and thank you in person :3
