Tw: sex trafficking, human trafficking
Are we promoting human/sex trafficking, tumblr? Because that is exactly what this looks like. I’ve seen the memos and images around the internet to warn me away from this exact thing.

I almost scrolled past it but then my brain caught up and screeched. This shit looks exactly like the trash people post to lure gullible young kids and young adults into a human/sex trafficking situation.
I investigated the link, lo and behold I found this gem of garbage:
Are you kidding me. The tumblr ad itself is horrible, and needs to be yeeted out of existence on this site. I’m not surprised I found this within the site link. Granted these individual ads can be found almost anywhere, even on legit job search sites, but the fact that you are allowing this ad website with THAT particular image and message? COME ON.
(I regret I didn’t click that circled link and get some more screenshots but I tabbed away and when I came back it was gone, but a quick search and I found more ads like it. It’s gross. With a few minutes I’m sure you guys can find your own anyway. A lot of the work ads looked sketchy as shit anyway.)
Nobody is gonna hire a new guy at $30/hour for part time or full time, WITH FRESH TRAINING - unless it’s a scam (probable) or a trafficking ring (also likely). Some naieve person will answer the ad, and before they know it get trapped and we never hear from them again. A quick search of google for “human trafficking” or “sex trafficking” will give you all sorts of articles about and images of ads that will match this one.
Get this shit outta here. Porn bots I can handle, I can block them and move on. They are annoying but don’t really harm me, so to speak. (We would appreciate them going away though -banning porn wasn’t successful or necessary, by the way.)
But this? This is ACTIVELY AND IMMEDIATELY HARMFUL. (As are the nazi blogs and their ilk, get rid of that shit while you’re at it.)
Feel free to reblog this shit guys, maybe spread awareness. If mobile tumblr wasn’t an ass about losing my posts in progress and letting me edit them on mobile I’d add more images and links from the internet to back this up more but I have faith in your collective google skills.
I don’t know how to report ads on tumblr so this was my best course of action at the moment.
