I don't go here (my friend @clockworkbuck does though) but in Planetary (GO!) they say the line "Fame is injectable." so I've decided that in Danger Days universe there is a drug actually called 'Fame'.
It's not that difficult to acquire actually, but comes in different "lists" that denote how pure it is. The higher the list, the more potent and pure it is, but also the more expensive and harder to buy it is.

A-List : Incredibly Difficult to Acquire in Large Amounts, High Lasts a Long Amount of Time (Multiple Days, Occasionally Weeks), Incredibly Potent Highs, Come-Down Lasts Incredibly Long (Also Multiple Days, Occasionally Weeks) and is Incredibly Awful to Endure, Consistent Long-Term Use of A-List Fame Can Permanently Alter Brain Creating "Delusions of Fame" Where Both the High and Come Down Effects Are Perpetually Combined, Delusions of Grandeur Incredibly Common With A-List Fame
B-List : Actively Hard to Acquire But Can Usually Be Acquired in Larger Amounts Than A-List Fame, High Lasts Decently Long (Three Day Average), Come Down Lasts Similarly Long, Highs are as Potent as Come Downs But Not Quite A-List Level, Not as Addictive as A-List Fame, Commonly Taken in "Fame Binges" Where Users Spend a Week or Two on B-List Fame Then Go Off it for a Month or Two to Avoid "Delusions of Fame" (Similar to the Concept of a Tolerance Break)
