Yippee first installment of the self insert challenge!!! Starting off with the guy who started it all: my Killjoysona, Feather Fall!! I’ve had them for a few years now (this ref sheet is maybe a year or two old? But I still like how it looks and don’t feel the need to redraw it) and I’m very very fond of her :3

She initially escaped from Battery City as a child alongside her best friend, eventually known as the name Spot Light (owned by @greydweller). The two of them lived out in the zones virtually by themselves, as both of their families were unable to escape with them. Eventually, they found more wandering ‘Joys, including Infra Raey-d (owned by @raeygina-george), Sky Line, Lady Luck, and Dealer’s Choice to name a few. (All of them are based off/belonging to my friends :3 They’ll all be getting designs eventually!)

For a while, this Killjoy gang lived alongside each other, luring Dracs and Exterminators towards them through loud, dramatic diversions before defeating them and disappearing. But in the Zones, nothing good can last forever. At some point, one of their skirmishes went all Costa Rica and Feather Fall, the group’s mechanic made the decision to lead their attackers away so that the rest of the group could survive another day. This left them stranded alone in the desert with no clue as to where her friends were.

Eventually, she’s found by the Fab Four, who let him join them for a while in exchange for fixing their ride and their guns. He grows close with them, the girl, and all the other ‘Joys they associate with, but despite everything, they miss their old group deeply and wonder often (when she’s alone, mostly) if he’ll ever find them again in the infinite expanse they call the Zones.

As for Feather’s design, I based her off of biblically accurate angels and her outfit is based off of assorted items (mostly thrifted or hand-me-downs) from my closet :D Out of all the self inserts I make in this challenge, I think Feather’s the most…like me I suppose? They’ve been with me since I first got into MCR and are as a result very special to me :3
