as much as i love the cool composure of characters like Kirigiri and Togami, i adore the constant reminders from the other characters that this game is about a bunch of frightened kids locked in a school, and that half of them refuse to even acknowledge the whole "people are being murdered and we need to sort that shit out" thing. they're not detectives or investigators or anything, they're just a bunch of kids trapped in a school with a psychopath pulling some serious strings over their heads. i mean as ridiculous as the overarching setting may be, i love the diversity and the realism of the characters.

i like that Chihiro stands next to Togami in the class trials, because it means i have a reference for exactly how tall Togami is compared to me.

Asahina's little soundbytes are so perfect, i'm looking forward to hearing her full sentences in the class trials~

playing through Chapter One and knowing exactly what is going to happen makes a substantial amount of a certain character's dialogue a LOT creepier and sinister than it would seem to a first-time player... well done localisation team.
