Wow, if this anon thinks you’re not innocent, I’d hate to see what they might think of some of the things I’ve done.
Hey! I've done things...
Lots of things!

Austin...
Hmm? Did Austin what? Oh, good. It’s no problem at all. Actually, I… worry a lot when they’re away, running. I know it’s foolish, but.. well. Is there something you’d like to do besides cooking?
Nothing. That's... I do too. With everything that's happened... I don't like being away from him. Um... math? Science? I like to read some stuff. I feel like my brain is slowly turning to mush here. Um... Austin's been trying to get me into video games, except I kind of suck at them still.
Austin to Dani: Meet me out back behind the Rec Center in like fifteen minutes, 'kay?
Dani to Austin: Um... okay? Should I bring anything?
Notice I used plural, Miss Acker…
...I'm not really good with words, Sir. Numbers are more my thing.
Beckett to Dani: When the wolves go away, the humans shall play...
Dani to Beckett: Um... okay? Have fun.
Does anybody want a cupcake?
I think they're done.
[While she’s away, a game cartridge is left at the foot of Dani’s bed. Not half a foot away from it rests a small note on yellow paper. The handwriting is spacey, as if extra effort was put into each letter to make it neat.]
Lost Mario Kart game cartridge. If you find it, please meet me later tonight in the grass outside the Rec Center, 7 o’clock. I want to take you on a date.
Thanks,
Austin K
When Dani came back from Archer's, she saw the game cartridge as she was pulling the blankets back. Reading the note, she couldn't help but smile at Austin's attempts to get her out, but it faded when she read the last sentence. A date. Suddenly, Archer's unsubtle questioning made sense, and she sat down hard on her bed. Dani stared at the note, wondering if she had read it wrong, but the letters didn't change. What did one do on a date? What should she wear? She didn't have clothes. What did this all mean? Dani flopped onto the bed, staring up at the ceiling. "Well... that's a development..."
