Pros and Cons of reading Bokura no Kiseki

Aka Why you should read Bokura no Kiseki:

Pros:

It has an interesting plot accompanied with surprising plot twists that are hinted in early chapters but you won’t realize it until it actually happens.

Although there’s only 41 chapters out right now, all the chapters are pretty long, ranging from 40-60 pages each. Most end with cliffhangers too so you will always be wanting more.

An interesting past world as well as magic system.

There’s a wide cast of characters that all important to the plot, go through their own inner turmoils and are very likable. ALSO since there’s so many, there’s definitely going to be one or two that you become attached to.

The plot involves REINCARNATION!!! So you pretty much get medieval things and modern things.

The main character is competent and LOVES trolling people is intelligent.

SPEAKING OF MAIN CHARACTERS did I mention in his past life he was the Princess of a kingdom? Not to mention that his girlfriend used to be a guard for said princess so now she plays the role of the protector.

Speaking of princesses, there are so many types of strong girls. From the badass protector to the kind hearted priest, they’re all strong and none are used as a tool for the plot.

That being said, none of the guys look down on the girls. And if you’re upset about your outward appearance...don’t worry, everyone is upset over their lack of abs.

Although it’s a pretty serious manga the humor is A+++

There is romance but if you’re not into the heavy kind, you don’t have to worry.

Since there are so many characters, it will take some time learning all their names + who they were in the past life. Additionally, some characters suffer from same (similar) face syndrome (okay like one or two not that many I swear). Though it will take some time, you will be able to decipher them though.

The series is currently on hiatus until August. However, it will start releasing monthly then so it’s also a good time to start.

The fandom is so so small. (There’s probably like one or two fics with a handful of fanart)

Since it’s so small, it probably takes a long time to translate chapters?? (don’t take my word for it though, I started early June so)

People are complaining about the BH6 news but??? What did everyone expect??? It was a D23 conference meeting. That means that any news we were supposed to get was supposed to be Disney related (aka worlds) rather than character designs (like Kairi and Riku's). Plus we have to remember that it's a Disney conference, meaning they couldn't spend too much time focusing on KH3 because they had to focus on other Disney-related things (remember that KH fans weren't the only ones in the crowd). And of course we would only get one world, if we got any other worlds now, they wouldn't have anything to announce later. I, for one, am glad we got to even hear news on KH3, even if it wasn't that much.

Ok so after 149 hours I finally finished Bravely Default! This game was by far the longest game for me but it was really fun and it exceeded my expectations as a Square game! Besides the gameplay I have a lot of thoughts about everything so I'm going to try and write them all down here so spoilers under the cut!

So honestly unfortunately I didn't get 100% completion in this game, but a lot of my item list was at 90% completion so I think as I try for the false ending I'll go and see if I can get those items. I would have but looking at how long I was spending on the game, I didn't want to go for any more. 

One thing I loved about this game is definitely the characters, especially the asterisks users. Like, I couldn't really hate any of them (with the exception of Profiteur, Fiore, and Qada who are absolute scum HAHA). I absolutely loved all the asterisks users especially at the end! See Jackal interact with both Einheria and Praline was absolute gold for me (so much I might draw them) and Holly making Konoe finally talk was beautiful. The boss rush at the end, any fight with the Venus sisters was definitely my favorite boss fights and honestly I think the Venus sisters were my favorites. I remember the first time seeing Mephilia, I already liked her so much, and the story given to her and her sisters just made me love them even more.(ALSO just going to say but on a totally separate topic of Alternis, I imagine that he has somewhat different hair than Ringabel DESPITE BEING THE SAME PERSON. Like the previous character design? Where his hair is in a small ponytail? Ya like that! Mostly because YA I LIKE THESE DIFFERENCES AND I CONSIDER RINGABEL AND ALTERNIS TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT PEOPLE YOU CAN'T TELL ME OTHERWISE)

Bringing that up, there's one thing that bothers me about the ending (EXCLUDING TIZ WHICH BOTHERS ME A LOT BECAUSE MY BABY ; A ; ) but....did Ringabel go back to his own world?? Because I don't know that just seems...so empty to me. Mostly because...ya that world Edea IS his Edea...but at the same time, the Edea we played the game with is his Edea too...and he does call the other Agnes the Agnes from his world but honestly...I wouldn't dare call her "his Agnes." Why? Mostly because she isn't his Agnes. Just like his world's Tiz isn't "his Tiz." In his world, as we can see in D's Journal, he was the "antagonist" of that world (to put it simply). He didn't travel alongside them like he does in game. So, if anything, I would say that the Luxendarc we began the game in is most definitely "his Luxendarc" despite it not actually being his original world, you know? That's why I find it unacceptable that he went back to his world (but at the same time I KNOW he went back to save them BUT STILL) instead of staying in the Luxendarc with our original heroes (despite the fact that Alternis SOMEHOW SURVIVED. IF HE SURVIVED JUST GOING TO PRETEND ALL THE ASTERISKS USERS SURVIVED AND WILL SOMEDAY MEET AND HAVE A REPEAT OF VICTORIA MAKING HER GIRL GROUP AND HOLLY GETTING KONOE TO TALK I JUST WANTED SOME ASTERISKS USERS IN THE ENDING CREDITS OKAY) So in the same way, I'm going to pretend that Ringabel somehow got back to "our" original Luxendarc but was not included in the ending because he was late BYE. 

On the subject of the ending, for the special movie, I'm fairly sure Tiz is in Eternia, especially because they specialize in medicine. HOWEVER, I'm not entirely sure how I feel about Magnolia. I read that she will be a main character in Bravely Second, HOWEVER, it's probably just me, but I become pretty hostile towards these types of characters simply because I feel like she's going to break up my group of 4 ; ; (despite it being said that it's a different era /wheezes) So ya, I have my red flags up for her, especially because she just stands out compared to our heroes (forgiven because IT IS a different era I GUESS)

So ya! These are my current thoughts about Bravely Default,, but I'm fairly sure I'll have even more to talk about! If you somehow made it to the ending I would love to talk to you about headcanons, possible theories or your favorite parts of the game, so feel free to drop me an ask!

Just saw the last episode of Mekakucity Actors and…aside from that one little tid bit of ShinAya oh man where to start it disappointed me to such an extent (Kuroha are you serious??) I think for a majority of the anime I was more confused over what was even happening more than anything. I just…I was so excited for the Kagepro anime before it even came out then hearing it would be by Shaft got me all apprehensive so I can't say I didn't expect it to be like this but still….

Watching those character introduction videos just makes me even more excited for Tales of Zestira...like I can't get over how pretty Alicia is, or how adorable Slay looks without that robe thing (i hope there's an option to take it off) or how adorable Slay is in general.

What I am wondering though is if there will be any new additions to the team? So far Alicia and Slay are the only legit humans right? I'm surprised there won't be more if they don't add any...
