New life. New home. Except, we couldn't leave everything behind, like Piper and a few trunks full of memorabilia. We decided to sell most of our belongings to come out more money on a nicer house. Also, Daniel's grandmother was kind enough to donate her old couch to us. Moving day didn't go as planned. For some reason I was feeling under the weather and passed out on the couch the moment we finished hauling everything out of the moving van. The house is small, but cozy and quaint... qualities I think I'll grow quite fond of. Needless to say, there's a lot of work to be done on the house and I'm not passing up this chance for a little bit of DIY-ing (Daniel's worst nightmare).
Anyways, we moved to Elmhurst, a tiny island that will be great for that warm neighborhood feeling we've been looking for. If it seems like we're settling down, it's because we are. We're at a point in our lives where a lot of big steps are being made. I'm just glad I have Daniel to help me along the way. The future is scary, but exciting!
