@goopysim
It’s been a year since I’ve posted on my simblr. It’s been 3 years since I’ve posted this post. And as I’m scrolling through all my old posts, all I can ask myself is WHAT IN GOD’S NAME WAS I THINKING. I think I was going through some sort of existential crisis.
Missed, but never forgotten.
Welp, that ended sooner than I thought it would.
I thought it was pretty funny during gameplay, but looking back at it now, I find it quite devastating. :\
Little update: I lost everything in my sims 3 game when an incident with my laptop happened and I was forced to reset everything back to factory settings without backing up. This happened a month ago. Surprisingly, I’m still alive. Life actually goes on... who knew? Anyways, I don’t think my old laptop can handle sims 3 anymore... so this is the first time I have ZERO sims games on my laptop. I’ve been playing sims 4 on my family’s laptop though, so here’s some screenshots of my gameplay.

I'm no builder... but, this is one of the houses I built. The exterior is pretty bland compared to the inside, which has a lot of mismatched and "ugly" interior design. I tried to replicate a suburb house I found on google images.
I'm trying to make a town from scratch on Rook Island that looks like the 1980's suburbia. I'm not using any cc, just store content and stuff from SP's and EP's. I don't know if the community lots in town itself looks specific to the time era, but the houses will definitely look more like it. If anything, it's just a suburban-styled town. I thought Rook Island would be best because it's not too large, it has flat land, and the residential lots are strategically placed in rows that will help for the monotonous look of the neighborhood.
So far, I've only made the city hall, the police station, a corner convenience store plaza (food, comic book shop, and diner), the public school, two shopping lots, a business center, and one house. I also plopped in a house by TheSimSupply because it kinda fit the neighborhood scheme I'm going after.
New life. New home. Except, we couldn't leave everything behind, like Piper and a few trunks full of memorabilia. We decided to sell most of our belongings to come out more money on a nicer house. Also, Daniel's grandmother was kind enough to donate her old couch to us. Moving day didn't go as planned. For some reason I was feeling under the weather and passed out on the couch the moment we finished hauling everything out of the moving van. The house is small, but cozy and quaint... qualities I think I'll grow quite fond of. Needless to say, there's a lot of work to be done on the house and I'm not passing up this chance for a little bit of DIY-ing (Daniel's worst nightmare).
Anyways, we moved to Elmhurst, a tiny island that will be great for that warm neighborhood feeling we've been looking for. If it seems like we're settling down, it's because we are. We're at a point in our lives where a lot of big steps are being made. I'm just glad I have Daniel to help me along the way. The future is scary, but exciting!

Piper's BFF is Daniel. Awwwww T_T
Movin' along.
I caved in.
And I don't regret it.

Spring time is here! It's supposed to bring new beginnings and change, right? Well, the only change I've gone through since winter was chopping off most of my hair. I'm enjoying the sun, but summer and it's heat can wait a couple more weeks.
Daniel and I stopped by a local cafe for lunch today. They're well known around town for their pies, especially during the strawberry season. Strawberry pies... yum.

Okay... this world is the best thing ever. It reminds me of Big Bear Lake (obviously...by its name) and Big Bear is awesome and full of childhood memories! I put a revamped version of Judith to explore the world. Only downside is that the world is a bit too laggy on my laptop for me to actually play in. :( When will my desktop computer get fixed? I honestly don't know.
