Most Cursed Ship: Daniel x Echo
Okay. So. I know we've discussed this briefly but...
This cursed ship intrigues me so much. Because Echo and Daniel do have a lot in common, but Echo's loathing of his personality and frequent philandering kinda gets in the way of this ever being a thing. Daniel reminds her too much of the condescending, sexist, shitty men she's dealt with in Hollywood and she's had quite enough of that, thank you very much. Echo is not afraid to put Daniel in his place when he's being pushy/a giant baby man, and I don't think he's used to someone standing up to him. There's an aspect of Spy vs. Spy going on here, as well. They'd try to one up each other constantly. She's expose his past if he was too cunty to her, and he'd try to dig up everything he could about her.
But there is so much POTENTIAL if they could get over it.
They're both giant nerds. They're both incredibly smart. They love their luxury skincare. They're persnickety about their workspaces. They both love Star Trek. They both come from rich backgrounds.
There would be a lot of emotional work to be done for both of them, and Daniel would have to prove, without a shadow of a doubt, that he is serious about his interest in her. This could take ages. Echo isn't willing to date just anyone, but especially someone like Daniel. But, I do know Daniel is a sappy romantic at heart, and given that Echo's favorite movie is The Princess Bride we know she's a romantic too.
Once the trust has been established, and the relationship begins progressing, they'd have to figure out the whole sexual aspect... Even a first kiss would be tough to approach. Echo's past sexual trauma would need to be carefully navigated, and it's hard for her to talk about it. I know he's not great about talking about his feelings either, so progress may come to a standstill until one of them breaks. Daniel would love to be dommed by Echo, the second he finds out she's into that. He'd beg for it. It may even work as a trust exercise early in their relationship. If Daniel's willing to let her do whatever she wants and she can see him in a vulnerable state, perhaps he's truly serious about this whole 'romance' thing. Daniel's quite experienced, so that would help figuring out what she likes in the bedroom and combined with his romantic-ness, he'd be able to take things slow with her. He would INSUFFERABLE the first time he makes her cum, though. You know he would be.
Could you imagine how positively EVIL they would be together? Just two ruthless, efficient, geniuses? Judging everyone. Talking shit. Spying on everyone.
