That's right, 3 is back! Today marked their first release since November 2011's The Ghost You Gave To Me. The band has parted ways with Metal Blade Records and embarked on a truly DIY journey. A good majority of their 7 full-length albums were self-recorded, but "Sugarlife" is the first experiment with self-release for the band. They plan to continue releasing songs directly to their fans, on the 3rd of every month. Incredible! Sales of "Sugarlife" will go right back into funding more recordings (I've got my fingers crossed for a full-length debut vinyl release) and into touring. 3 performs in the area around their hometown, Woodstock, New York, but have not gone on a full U.S. tour since their 2011 run with The Dear Hunter and Coheed and Cambria.
Check it out, and support!
P.S. The next chance to catch 3 live will be on Saturday, April 19th at Olive's in Nyack, New York. They're no strangers to the town, having performed at all-ages shows back in the day with Shabutie at spots like The Backdoor. It will be their first time ever performing at the legendary Olive's, and their first Nyack show since 2008.
P.P.S. There's a badass new t-shirt available. http://thebandthree.bigcartel.com/product/kraken-three-shirt
