“i’m disgusted and offended that you have the audacity to sit there and say that circus isn’t britney spears’ greatest album to date.” daniel picked up the other’s phone, tapping at the screen with his thumbs. “i’m about to educate you on what real music is. sit back and prepare to go on the journey of a lifetime. you’ll be thanking me sooner rather than later.”
“you can shred.” glaring obvious, probably, that he’s not completely present. eyes are tinged red, the smell is mixing with his cologne. still, he’s genuine when he smiles, complements the guitar playing. “for real. how long you played for?”

@strnza “ nah, nah. i’m being serious. “ it’s a phrase he finds himself muttering often ---- no one expects such loftiness, such honesty, such ... ODDITY. frequently he has to insist that he’s being genuine. “ can’t explain it. but your energy is UNMATCHED. i can see it now, but you can hear it on the album too ---- i love it. “
it wasn’t like either of them had a particularly short temper; however when things got heated between them neither rose or daniel were the type to back down. it’d started off as something small in the morning, he’d eaten her toast before she had the chance. she was the type to hold a grudge so when he came home from work that day she’d had a bit of a pout on her lips. it’d turned into an exchange of some rather heated words and then a full blown argument, one over more than just toast. the only fortunate thing was that they hadn’t been there because the brunette didn’t want them to have to witness such a thing. it resulting in daniel leaving with a slam of the door and hours had past since – long enough for them to arrive home and rose to give her side of the story. when midnight crawled around she had to beg them to go to bed with her, even if she doubted either of them would sleep until he was home. she was right. ‘ – did you hear that ? ’
rose was a pain in his ass. she wound him up too easily and he always fell for it. it wasn’t like they didn’t love each other but it was fair to say their personalities clashed quite often. daniel felt sorry for anyone that was caught in the middle of it however really it rarely got as bad as this. it wasn’t like him to leave in the manner he did, maybe for an hour or so to cool off but when he did this time he’d turned his phone off and had no plans to return any time soon. he ended up in a bar, drinking away all the money he had tucked in his pocket since he hadn’t had the time to grab his card before leaving. still, he was able to draw it out long enough that by the time he was leaving the bar it was well past midnight and he was stumbling every other step that he took. the one thing, aside from his phone, that he did have on him was his keys. that being said, they were almost entirely useless since he couldn’t focus on the lock. he ended up rather pathetically knocking on the door, hoping someone would waken to hear him.

his hands were balled into fists inside his jacket pocket, though his face was the picture of calm. daniel didn't really let things get to him like this often however things quite easily built up in his head and then -- things like this happened. he was sporting a split lip and bruised knuckles all just because it'd got too much. still, all things considered he got off pretty easy. that was probably more to do with the fact the guy had been drunk as opposed to him having any real fighting skill. he'd threw the first swing so he supposed he deserved to be escorted out of the bar however he had no idea why they were following him. they hadn't done anything wrong. ‘ i'm fine, y'know. i'm going home, just go back inside. ’

‘ you don’t need me to tell you he’s a piece of shit, ’ he muttered, refusing to make eye contact with them. daniel didn’t know how much longer they planned on telling him all of the hardships of their relationship when he so obviously expressed how little he cared. it wasn’t like this was something new, it was the same old routine day in and day out and he was sick of it. ‘ you deserve better, you know that, i know that, he knows that. what’s it that you actually want me to say to you ? i’m so fucking done trying when i know you’re going to go back to him every damn time. ’
