Hold it friend! On your posts about father’s in the series u took points away from Vigo for giving his amulet to his son while trying to work against the Guardian council, but in book five it’s shown that when he gives his son his stone that Silas is still in cielis and has yet to be kicked out and that’s how his son got the idea to enter the void and since Silas was still there this means Vigo’s sin died BEFORE Silas warned Vigo of the Council meaning that Vigo didn’t deserve to have points removed as he was still loyal to the council and didn’t start working against them til after his son’s death.
(Also P.S. it’s nice to start seeing some amulet dedicated blogs pop up!)
A/N: um where in Book 5?? In Book 4, Silas was voted off the Council because of his criticism of their decisions, which was based on its fears. Vigo was also PART of the Council and ONE of the people who voted in favour of removing him. Still, Silas remained in Cielis regardless of that fact to teach the students at the Academy because he was just VOTED OFF, not yet exiled. BUT THEN, Gulfen attacked Windsor, causing Vigo to see what Silas saw. So, he tendered his resignation and gave the stone to his son.
Because if Vigo passed down the stone to his son before Silas was voted off, he won’t be able to be part of the Council since he revoked his rights of being a stonekeeper. And if he wasn’t part of the council, the statement that Vigo voted Silas off as the ‘youngest member of the Council’ won’t hold any water. He STARTED working against them BEFORE even his son died, hell, he USED him to work outside the system and taught Daniel (not David because David is Emily’s dad) to be a better stonekeeper. When Daniel learned about the Void, that’s when Vigo left when he died. Reread book 4 and book 5 as proof.
