focus

Warm-ups this week have been focused on getting the company focused, but I believe that more warm ups should be led to be even more focused because at the moment, we are properly working on scenes and we need everyone to be cooperative, patient, and focused on the task at hand. This means that people need to be considerate in paying attention to the person who’s leading the warm up. When playing the “samurai” game, we need to be way more focused than we originally are. Whilst playing that game, it’s about connecting to the person next to you and move when there about to move. It’s like when we close our eyes, and jump or clap our hands in unison, it’s kind of like that. I just believe we need more focus in the morning so we can have more focus all day.

Guys, just to let you know, on the 6th of march there is a broadcasting of a television show, called 37 days, and i believe its about 37 days before the war started, so i believe it will be something to have a good watch of. I believe it will give us a good idea of what we should be expecting off the costumes as well as speech back then.

CV

Everyone who is doing/has done CV but cannot post it up via Dropbox or as an actual file. Alex and I had the same problem. What I did was print screen it, pasted it onto word, saved it as an actual file and then edited it on paint. Then you just put it up as a picture. If you've found an easier way, comment below so other people can find out as well. Thank you.

FOH

on the 20th of November, we had Front Of House training for when the Christmas show is going on, here is some of the questions we've been asked to answer:

1 What is front of house?

front of house is where you stand in the front of the theatre for geusts advice.

2 Why does the Miskin Theatre need front of house?

Miskin needs front of house for insurance purposes and safety.

3 What is the Theatre Managers job? 

the Theatre Managers job is to manage the Theatre and see if every thing is going as planned.

4 What is the Box Office assistants job?

the box office job is Amelia assistant.

5 What is the Front of House supervisor job? 

the front of house supervisor is Nikki's assistant.

6 What is the Audience supervisors job?

The Audience Supervisors job is too stay in with the audience and seeing that everything is going as planned.

7 What do survey distributors do?

survey distributors are people who ask audience to answer a survey on the show and the FOH staff

8 What is the correct uniform?

smart - black trousers, white trousers.

9 How do you know when you have FOH ? 

look on tumblr or on the board in the foyer

10 Professional conduct- How should you behave when in work?

you should behave how you would when your great aunt bessie has come round.

11 Why do we use a Radio / headset?

faster communication and so the audience cant hear what your saying.

12 Why would we use a torch? 

to find our ways easier and less dangerously

13 Fire.. Code word is?

mr green

14.Why do you Sign in and sign out?

so none of the headsets get stolen.

15 How many fire exits are there?

Group 1

Everest, Chris, Maria and I all had the same idea as to go to our old schools and promote the production there. I think Everest was going to email his old school, I went into my old school, but they didn't let me get past reception, but I will create an interview with my old drama teacher to try and get him to promote the show. I don't really know what Maria and Chris went and did to go to their old schools, or how else they promoted the show, so guys, if you see this can you comment on this and tell me what you have done, thanks.
