Racist Attack Hello everyone, I was just scrolling down on Facebook and I saw a sickening video of a black man in Glasgow town centre, who got attacked by 2 white men for being black. Watching the video upsets me and makes me angry and I want to fight for him against the 2 men. Who has the right to discriminate others because of their race? This isn't completely relevant to The Beano but it does have a link to it as racism 100 years ago was a lot worse compared what it is nowadays. Black people were seen as nothing and were treated like they weren't human beings. I find it hard to think about because why should people with different coloured skin be made to feel like they are worthless? I couldn't imagine many things worse. Watch the video and discuss your thoughts on disqus! The link for the video is: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=noLTe5RXOTE or type in "street performer attacked by racists" on YouTube if the link doesn't work. Also, I have found another website which has loads of information about racism in the early 20th century. The information mentions about what it was like in the U.S. at this time, however it was similar in Britain. I couldn't find any websites with information about racism in Britain. The link is: http://www.lifepaths360.com/index.php/comparison-of-racism-today-to-racism-of-the-early-1900s-9856/ In Britain, there were public buildings such as pubs which had signs on the doors saying "no blacks allowed", "no negros allowed", "blacks or Irish not allowed beyond this point". These are horrific things that was reality back then, and that is what the mind blowing this is.
