  Capitol Contributor: Daniel Vi Le 

  A newcomer to the Capitol fashion scene, milliner Daniel Vi Le, dreams of creating custom pieces for district 7 tribute Johanna Mason. “Her duality appeals to my aesthetic,” he says.

  Vi Le--who works with a variety of materials but favors the fluidity and pliability of natural mediums--relies on his own spirituality as inspiration: “Themes of resurrection and renewal often come through my work in a very personal way.”

  Vi Le has created pieces, such as his halo headpiece based on numerology, for Vogue, Surface magazine, and the bands UVS and Creep (see above: 2NE1 in Fault Magazine). Look for his spiked berets, crown of horns and eye patches in the Capitol come fall. But when it comes to inspiration, he name checks District 3. “My father is an electrical engineer, so it was easy to identify with Beetee’s smarts and skills.”
