Barged
(NIV) Genesis 19.9 - "Get out of our way," they replied. "This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We'll treat you worse than them" They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.
This shows that the main goal of these me is for them to fulfill their own desires. Lot has been pushed past the point of reasoning with them. This seems to clearly be shaping out as one of the main causes behind why Sodom is destroyed (Gen. 13.10). How the men might get out of this situation is the biggest question at this point.

Getting a nephew back
(NIV) Genesis 14.12 - They also carried off Abram’s nephew Lot and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom.
What they will do to those captured could be reason for Abram to try to help Lot. Which could speak volumes to the character that Abram is. It also would make me assume that Lot was involved with what was going on there. Which could speak to why they separated in the first place.
