The Honey Badger has arrived! 😎 💪 - DR
Knock Knock { You choose tho I love the way Cecily hates Daniel for some strange reason }
8. My character walking in on yours in a revealing costume.
For some odd reason, Daniel had agreed to come to this stupid party. His sister had wanted to go, and he hadn’t wanted her to go alone, nor did he want her going with some random guy, so this was the compromise. He’d dressed in his usual t-shirt, leather jacket, and skinny jeans ensemble, and no one had dared to say anything about it. Everyone else was dressed up in some ridiculous costume - he’d seen about half a dozen witches, ten or more fairies, one mermaid, two Roman soldiers, and about four Elsa’s. Anne had dressed up as, well… herself, really, but no one else here would know that. She’d put on her black and gold angel-leather, sheathed a few daggers and guns into her belt, and went off to the party like that wasn’t a completely weird thing to do. Daniel had just shrugged it off. At least if a demon attacked, she’d be prepared.
He’d been walking along the inside of the house, trying to find somewhere to get a drink, when he stumbled upon the girl. "It would be quite logical, one would think, to not stand in the middle of a hallway where people are constantly walking."
((Because she’s secretly attracted to him))
A Pirate's Life for Me || Kaylee & Captain Chase
The Crimson Moon groaned and creaked as the waves softly pushed it from side to side. The night air was cold, made colder by the brief bursts of wind coming up off the open ocean. Torches lit the ship in a dim light, casting shadows over the wooden deck. They had been at sea now for three weeks, and had gained another five members of their crew. It was Captain Daniel Chase's guess that at least half of them would abandon them as soon as they made port on the infamous island now shimmering on the horizon. Angel Island was a pirate port and everyone in the entire Northern Hemisphere knew it. Though it was a dangerous place to be, it was also home to many of the men aboard the Crimson Moon, including their captain.
It would take another hour or two to reach the port, meaning the men would need to be up and ready to dock the ship. Daniel had let them sleep most the night, knowing they'd need their energy. The few who had remained awake with him were Matty, his First Mate, the young boy who insisted they call him Kid, Kaylee and Thomas. Daniel had ordered the last two to finish loading the crew's guns with the gunpowder stored in barrels on the storage deck. They'd need them when they docked.
Kaylee had become quite the commodity on the ship. She did as she was told, scrubbed the deck with Thomas and Ralph without complaint, sharpened the crew members swords, and even helped prepare dinner once or twice. Thomas and Ralph had taken quite a liking to her, Thomas especially. The two boys had yet to tell her why Thomas couldn't speak, but that was more so because she hadn't asked, not because he didn't want her to know. Daniel had kept an eye on her - a close, yet aloof one. He kept his distance from her, barely even speaking with her, and remained busy ordering the crew around and splitting shares.
Daniel shook his head. It had happened again; he'd starting thinking about her. That needed to stop. She was just another crew member; nothing more, nothing less. Kid looked up at him, cocking a dark brow. "Are you okay, Captain?" "Aye, Kid," he replied evenly, lifting up the blunted training sword. "Ya ready?" "Always." A smile graced Daniel's lips as the two of them began to spar. He took it easy on the kid, offering helpful advice whenever he did something wrong, and pretending to slip up every so often to give him a boost of confidence. He liked this kid; he reminded him of himself when he was younger; all fire and determination. Teaching him how to fight with a sword each night had been the highlight of the past few days.
*insert heart symbol from Kaylee to Daniel*
4. Pirate AU
Daniel threw his sword towards the deck where the two crew members were arguing over what to do with their new captives. They stopped, startled, and looked up at him as he jumped over the railing of the hull and landed on the deck with a cat-like grace. His black leather overcoat blew in the breeze off the ocean, causing his loose undershirt to expose his toned chest. The captives were tied to the mast. Two girls, a young boy, a teenage kid and an older man that looked in his late fifties. They’d come straight off a navy ship likely meant to transport them to the mainland; them and a haul of gold stowed in secret in the bows of the ship. "I think we should keep the pretty ones," Daniel’s First Mate, Matty, said with a grin. "They’d do good for morale." Daniel inspected the women with narrowed eyes, cocking a brow. “And what say you about this, ladies? Do you want to be part of me crew?” A cruel grin spread across his lips.
♥ { since I have one with Carla, Imma choose Daniel this time }
22. Our muses are stuck in a haunted hotel
Daniel sat up in his bed, frowning into the endless darkness of his room. Something was… off. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but he could feel it deep in his bones that there was something wrong. Slowly, he slid out of bed, put on his jeans and boots, and walked over to the door of his hotel room. He opened it slowly, peaking out into the dimly lit hall, and frowned deeper. There was definitely something off. Grabbing one of his daggers from his nightstand, he sheathed it in one of his boots, and walked out into the hall.
Thalia & Daniel || Casual Days
Daniel looked over at the woman before him, clicking his tongue. "You're going to miss," he remarked, bending slowly down so his eye was lined with the edge of the table. "The angle is off." Rising slowly, he grinned at her, his eyes glinting with excitement. He was always this way when he was playing pool - mostly because he knew he would win. Though he did enjoy a challenge. And this woman was providing to be quite the opponent. Almost as good as Carla and Nick.

Don't Tell Them || Luna & Daniel
Daniel Chase needed a break. He'd been cooped up in that Safehouse for two days. It was time for a break and a little fresh air. He didn't hate his home, nor the people in it, but sometimes he liked a little time by himself to think without the pressure of another presence. One especially. As he made his way down 34th Street, his jeans tucked into his boots, hiding the hilt of his favorite dagger, Daniel couldn't help but feel relieved already. It was a nice day outside, and the air was about as fresh as New York air could be. Daniel took a deep breath in and held it for a moment before breathing it out in a long sigh. The last few weeks had been very difficult, not just for him, but for all of the others at the Safehouse. An Archdemon had appeared in the city, and, though they'd managed to kill him, Daniel knew the truth - this wasn't the end. It was only a matter of time before another appeared; before another Archdemon threatened his city and the ones he cared for. They crowded this city, as if they were drawn here. What are you thinking? Daniel's inner voice spoke up. Of course they're drawn here. And you know by what - or, rather, who. They want her - He wants her - and there's nothing you - His inner monologue was suddenly cut short as he ran, head first, into someone. He stayed upright, though was thrown slightly off balance. "Watch where you're walking," he snapped without thinking.
