The End Verses Of Jean Prouvaire
A man who took great care to believe in nothing.
“who represented the logic of the Revolution, Combeferre represented its philosophy. Between the logic of the Revolution and its philosophy there exists this difference--that its logic may end in war, whereas its philosophy can end only in peace”
Enjolras at the barricades
Enjolras with flowers growing from his wounds
Hi! I’m Dan, and this is a little comic about my chronic pain and how it affects my life, I’m using red lines to show where my pain is, like you can see in the image above.
I’m a writer and an artist, but when I draw or write, it hurts my shoulders and fingers a lot, so sometimes it can take me a really long time to finish simple things.
I also sing, but sitting in singing posture hurts my back, shoulders, and legs a lot, so me and my teacher reached an agreement, that I can sit however works best, as long as I make sure to practice extra hard so I don't fall behind.
I also have some trouble in choir because of my binder, since holding a long note can be really hard when you are wearing one.
when I dance, pretty much everything hurts, especially my chest, because I have some breathing problems, and can’t always breathe while dancing, so it causes some really sharp chest pains as well as joint pain pretty much everywhere else.
the same goes for boxing, but thats not as much of an issue, because rounds are usually shorter, and I have time to take a break in between.
archery can be really painful, but its usually okay on everything except my fingers, sometimes they will get stuck like that for a really long time.
all this might seem really bad, and sometimes it seems like that to me too, because I can't really do anything without being in pain, and I am always at a risk of my hip getting stuck in place and not being able to walk for a day, or my legs giving out under me and needing someone to carry me to my classes, but in the end its all okay, because I still have my friends, and my boyfriends, who I know will always be there for me, keeping me grounded in reality, whether I'm ranting about revolution, or whether I'm crying on the floor, they are always there for me, and that makes it all worth it.
A freshly shot Enjolras.
