Sunny Crew concept art pt 1

I did three other character concepts but I couldn’t figure out how to place them beside Venus so I wanted to redraw them

Also, Scraps is no longer part of the crew, I am scrapping (no pun intended) his character. RIP my boy 😔

Venus was drawn separately because 1) she didn’t fit, 2) she doesn’t join the crew until later (along with everyone else I have to draw), 3) I want to draw the second half of the crew along side her since she technically sits at the “adult table” with the rest of the crew (whom are mostly adults)

I want to change some of the color schemes of the first half of the crew but I wanted to give their first color palettes a chance. Blosh isn’t pink enough tbh (I was inspired by Goldfish and Blossom from PPG) Rein’s green eye color fit with his old vibe but I think I may change it to red to fit in with his demon concept, I like the orange but I’m sold on deep red for Dani’s new color palette, I like the little earthy tones for Lille but being that her aesthetic is supposed to be seashells and Sweethearts, Imma add more off whites

Venus was also meant to be a winter demigod with a cold periwinkle blue hair color and a white polar bear fur outfit aesthetic

I still have to redesign the adults, but so far I’ve already drawn Eve (a deity and mother figure) and Jemma (sea-person bandit with a six year old son) there’s still the buff barbarian girl and old mercenary man (going under new name changes yay) and for the kids there’s still Leo, the twins, and Tuni

I got impatient and jumped into drawing mini comics for the Sunny crew (all which I haven’t finished) but after working on this one, I decided I had to lay out the concept art to grasp their designs better

The comic below is a wip for Senshi joining the Sunny crew as the only adult (23) in a club of children (ages 12-17) 💀

Also yea I misspelled Senshi’s name on accident

The curly haired boy is Dani and the one with the scar is Rein (they are co captains of the Sunny crew)

This is one of those character stories I make where I draw all the fun and games but it’s actually got a dark theme and a depressing narrative

Also fun fact: Senshi loves kids (not in a criminal way I must note because my sister said it sounds like he’s a pedo) he and his wife can’t have kids unfortunately and because he’s a pirate, he cannot legally adopt a child. Even if he and his wife would open their home to a child from sea, it wouldn’t stop the government or whoever from taking said child away (something that had happened to them) Senshi also adores things that are ‘cute’ and because he finds Dani to be the most adorable kid on the planet, Senshi babies and smothers him, much to Rein’s anger

Im still in the drafting phase of these characters so their designs will change, their stories, and their crew especially. I started with 28 characters for the crew, currently I have 9 on the roster
