🐈⬛Dani was in a trial at Hawkins laboratory, one of his least favorite places to be. The place reeked of abuse and Dani didn't like it, not one bit. He also hated how many rats there were. They all reminded him of his best friend, Toaster. He wished he knew where Danny scared him off to, wished he could have his friend by his side again. All he could do was move through the trial and ignore the rats that weren't his friend. He'd wish Danny would just take over for him instead but he knew The Entity wouldn't allow that to happen, if he was chosen to front by Her, then he would have. She liked to abuse the system and they all hated it. She messed with the system and up until now Dani respected her, followed her every command. She was the one that broke that respect by abusing them.
Dani went through the trial, hooking one survivor after another. This trial he was just going to kill everyone instead of his usual playful self, letting a few or so live. This place was painful to be in and She knew that.
As he as went to hang one of the survivors on a hook he heard a familiar squeak, one that he had heard all the time. "Toaster?" It had caught him off guard to say the least.
The survivor struggled and was able to get off his shoulder. He sighed, damn he was distracted. However if there was a chance of that squeak being his friend, he would take it. He looked at the rats that surrounded the hook. All of them black, no white speckles on them. "Toastie? It's me, Dani... please, please come home with me. I-I-I miss you buddy," he called out with no success. "I-I-I umm... I'm really sorry I didn't tell you about being a part of a system. We just didn't want people to treat us differently or umm... umm... hurt us." No answer. No squeak. Dani sat down next to the hook. Why not just let the survivors go. Dani wasn't in for the game anymore. "Please...." Dani pulled his knees to his chest and his forehead rested on his knees. He was giving up 🐈⬛
Another trial had started. Toaster went lazing around with the rats he was with, day after day, no purpose at all. He didn't care much for the others but at least they were kind enough to accept him. Maybe one of these days he'd be able to have a trial of his own.
What he wasn't expecting was to see Dani. He shrunk back to hide, not wanting the killer to see him. How could he when he was just a "stupid rat".
He watched Dani during the trial until he saw coming towards the hook he was hidden on. He accidentally let out a little squeak "*Squeak*". He knew Dani would be able to find him now so hid even more.
Yes he heard Dani talking but he didn't care, Dani hurt him. Dani almost killed him. However, Dani mentioned he was a system? What did that mean? Why was he so defeated. He never saw Dani like this. Dani was curled up under the hook. Looked like he had given up.
He decided to go to Dani, answer his calls. He scurried up to Dani and climbed on his shoulder [please don't hurt me and I'll listen]
