Firefly #12
The crew of Serenity is back in Serenity Valley with Unificators and Browncoats ready for a war in Firefly #12. But Mal has a plan to prevent it, as long as his crew is behind him. The power hungry Alliance Governor has plans to use Land Burners to destroy the Browncoasts once and for all. And Mal has to convince Boss Moon to help him once again to save them. Since the Land Burners won't just kill the Browncoats, they can destroy a planet. But if they fail, the second battle of Serenity Valley will be much like the first for the Browncoats.
Firefly #12 The untold adventures of the Serenity crew are still just as fun as they were with the show. I do wish the crew were together more. Mal has been separated from Zoe and the crew for most of the issues in the series. And I would like to see more out of some of the fan favorite characters like Wash, Jayne and Kaylee. But some interesting new characters have emerged. Like Leonard, the bandit that stole Kaylee's heart. And of course Ma Reynolds. Her one shot is going to be something interesting. Firefly #11
Mal and Zoe were almost able to stop the coming war in Firefly #11. But Ma Reynolds, showed up and made things very complicated. The rest of the Serenity crew is so close to getting reunited. But its Inara that may prove to be the driving force that saves them all. With the Browncoats so determined to rekindle the fight, and the Alliance so happy to oblige, there may be no escape. Zoe and Mal will have to do some smooth talking to keep everything from spiraling into chaos.
Firefly #3 This was probably my favorite pull this week. McDaid's are is always on point for this series. He gets a close likeness to the actors that play the characters, while still making them his own. The fire fights and explosions are very well done. And I liked the pace of the story in this issue. It felt like we had been inching forward for the past few issue, so it was nice to get into some action. I'm really excited for the next issue after this one. Pak has done a really good job overall with this series and telling us some new stories in an established Universe. Firefly #10
The Browncoats are trying to restart the war and the Unificators are very happy to oblige in Firefly #10. They are all back at Serenity Valley. At site that saw many people on both sides killed. All Zoe wants is to get Mal back safe and sound. But everyone else wants revenge for their fallen soldiers. Being a huge fan of the show makes me enjoy these issues more and more. Its hard to tell how long they can keep this series going with a defined and limited time span to work with. If you watched the show and the movie, you know where this all leads. But getting new stories of some of my favorite characters makes each issue special.
Credits Writer: Greg Pak Artist: Dan McDaid Colors: Joana Lafuente Letters: Jim Campbell Firefly #10 Both sides are ready to restart this war to get revenge. But the only thing that is going to get anyone is killed. Boss Moon continues to work with Mal to help make sure they both stay safe. But a group of Browncoats is killed as they were preparing to take over some local towns. It's not until the Governor shows up that things start to look bad for both sides. Mal gets the governor to agree to let him try and talk the Browncoats out of war. And it appears that at least some are listening. Until a ship shows up and starts firing on the Governors ship. But who else is on it but Mal's own mother. Now she's ready to try and win the are for good. Support the Site The best thing we can ask you to do to support our site is to donate to a good cause. The artwork of Judge Dredd #12by Dan McDaid is rough and gritty, if not somewhat simplistic. But McDaid’s style definitely fits the story and the character of Judge Dredd. I just prefer more definition and tighter lines in my art. But McDaid’s work is still…
