Wishing harm on a child is a fucked up thing to do. Doing so after repeated warnings not to is even more so. Wally is a child, a child with tonnes of trauma and has made nothing but logical choices that match up with his understanding of the situation. Writing something ragebait-y is not an excuse to express a wish for violence against children. And no I do not care that this is a fictional child in a story, all children should be treated with the same respect. The fact Giovanni didnt get even a shred of this energy, despite being an adult and saying much more vile things than Wally, simply proves you are all just hating on him and not his actions. Disrespecting Wally and his experiances that made him into the person he is today is a direct insult to me and the work I put into making this story. I do not fuck with disrespect to ANY of my characters so if you think it's a funny "joke" I WILL come after you with the same energy you show my characters. Let's see if it's still funny then

Yes, he's the one accusing Danny of all the bad things, and giving him a broom smack or two is insanely valid. What isn't valid is acting like he, a 15 year old with a still developing brain and trauma en tout, and the League, recently traumatised by the near death experiance of their kids and getting attacked by a demon dog while getting batman's secret child dropped on them, are idiots and should be seeing the "obvious" time travel and secret twin aspect.

Stop looking at it from the pov i presented and look at it from their side. Wally is the only person who knows Dick's ID. He is the only person who knows Dick as a person and a hero. Of course he's going to get weirded out when his best friend suddenly goes cold turkey on their friendship and then shows up with this stranger who is claiming to be so much that doesn't make any sense. His best friend is acting weird, watched Dick's supposed mental deline first hand when he was imagining a neon green dog, being distant and looking like he went through a personality shift.
MEANWHILE there is suddenly this new being attached to his hip, who they first met IN BELLE RÊVE MIND YOU. The adults who they are conditioned to trust all find contradicting evidence and none of it makes sense. They just rescued Superman's clone from a facility just a few months ago and fought a perpetually child like demon witch not too long after that. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN KNOW THEIR OWN COLLEAGUE IS ACTUALLY A 10 YEAR OLD BOY yet you expect them to clock time travel and secret twin? of the most famous boy on the planet, taken in by the most famous man on the planet?
And lets not forget all the people who were convinced Danny and Conner were going to be besties and brothers from day 1. Im sorry, all the times these two met in story, IT WAS THROW HANDS ON SIGHT. Danny is the exact representative of what Conner wished he could have and it's getting rubbed in his face with how much drama there is around this fuckass kid.
And now, just because I used the words 'i wish' everybody seems convinced Desiree is messing with the team??? When I have purposely NOT USED ANY of the ghost cast beyond frostbite, cujo, AND ONE SINGLULAR APPEARANCE OF CLOCKWORK AND UNDERGROWTH RESPECTIVELY. Please, I beg, look at the episodes im rewriting. It was Zatanna who said "i wish he would just give me some space" and i changed that to Danny saying something so he would be blamed for the disapearance. It is not bc this child says the words I and wish consecutively that it's proof Desiree showed up when I havent had any ghosts as enemies beyond Dan and Undergrowth.
If you're going to read a rewrite of a show, specifically mentioned the episodes are being rewritten, maybe just maybe check the actual episode because the canon reason is so much more interesting than Desiree as an antagonist
Im remaining neutral on Zatara's treatment bc the man is written and recieved exactly as intended. Yes he is an immigrant/child of an immigrant himself, yes he is also being racist towards ghost bc that is how he was taught by all the great sorcerers who came before him. NO THIS MAN DOES NOT HAVE FUTURE SIGHT TO SEE IT WAS NOT TRUE, that is the only grace i ask for reguarding him. it's 2026, everybody should know how deep indocrination can run if you arent presented with proof of the opposite even a singular time in your life.

Listen. I know most of the people arent the ones causing issues but please understand how incredibly shitty this feels from my end. I was gone for 9 fucking months due to ass mental health and the ao3 curse coming after me with a vengeance.
December 2025 was the first time I gen enjoyed writing again and was so insanely excited so share what I had prepped. Like tism flappy hands on the daily excited to the point it was giving me stomach issues bc i got that hyped it kept triggering my gag reflex.
And then i do start posting and the stuff i was so excited for gets corrupted by the whiplash i got from the reactions to things i didnt think was so bad. Yeah wally was a bitch but he wasnt more of a bitch than he'd already been to others? And then people wouldnt listen when im screaming into the void about there being more stuff in the background. Every extra chance given just turned into another backstab. Hell Zatara didnt even get the treatment Wally was getting and that man was out here calling Danny an it (derogatory) and literally led an anti ghost campain with the league while the worst Wally did was call Danny a fraud.
And now im sitting here not sure if i trust the masses bc of the actions of a few bc there is one more chapter that has wally in a more negative light that im supposed to be posting in a few hours. And not even just that but 88's first half is Wally centered and i just dont trust people will be nice about it. Fuck im working on Wally art i wanted to post in 87 but that is also a week delayed bc of how ass that dumpsterfire was getting.
The next chapters i have to get through is cold hearted, literally Wally's birthday arc. How tf am i suppsed to feel joy for this bebbi when people are out here calling him selfish and a bad hero for having trauma reactions they dont like.
And i get it. There's 260k worth of story and most of it is from dick and danny's pov, but it isnt hard to read between the lines and see it from other's pov. Hell i literally gave yall the exact chapters to reread if u were willing to see the team/league's pov. But that clearly didnt work bc accusations were still being made that are not accurate to what APAF-Wally is.
Its gen pushing to the point im debating on pushing back the next arc from releasing just to force distance from this dumpsterfire but ig that now all depends on how the last 3 chapters of misplaced gets treated

You dont have the full image yet and that is the point. Real life isnt clear cut, so why should fics be. Ive said it a few times already but i dont believe in a magic fix. It isnt bc something gets said or exposed that that instantly fixes all the pain and hurt it caused. But to quote HH "it starts with sorry" and 89-91 (nov 11 arc) is only the early stages of that sorry.
I have the dates in every chapter for a reason. There hasnt been that much time that passed yet. Its only been a month since Danny broke out of Belle Rêve, 3 weeks since he got exposed to the team and league, 2 weeks since he got forcefully added to the team and they got suspended from missions bc of it. I beg, look at the dates here and see how long it takes until things will actually get brough to light. As i said in my a/n 1.A, 2 and 1.B (dec 6 to dec 21) are where most of the exposé happens that will influence how everything since just before Failsafe reads. It isnt until the 3rd last arc (dec 25 to dec 29) where a real heart to heart conversation happens and the real healing truely begins. Please just keep in mind how much there still is to get through before casting judgement on any one character
