Any ideas why GVF5 doesn't have a release date yet, but per Sam, it's ready to go? Imo, I think they are lying that it's actually finished. The whole timeline of this album is that it was done in 2023, then it wasn't, then it was done Summer 2025, but then they hadn't even gone into the studio yet...I think this album had plans to be done sooner, but it's getting dragged out for whatever reason. It seems pretty clear they started demoing in early 2025, then didn't get back into the studio until Fall 2025 once Mirador was done. They obviously have a good amount of their songs finished, but Josh's assistant literally posted when they were in the studio a few weeks ago, so they are definitely still recording. I'm assuming based on Danny's tattoo and Sam's hair that all of the videos GVF has posted have been from April-June 2026, so those videos are a lot more current then we think. I would bet they have the album fleshed out, a good chunk of the songs mixed and finished, but don't have a completed album yet, which is why there's no release date. But idk, maybe I'm wrong and there's some other reason I'm not realizing!
