ahem, yeah. they almost half-smiled during the shiro arc (when dia says ‘the distance helps me see how much you mean to me’) but still not even close to how often they’ve been smiling/half-smiling these past chapters
i find it amazing how, the instant ‘war’ was out of the picture, bort started smiling.
even a character who was described as a battle-maniac and as someone who actually enjoyed fighting turned out to be negatively affected by centuries of war (duh).
now they’re happier, more carefree, and they can choose the path they like most and not the one that’ll be most useful to society. it’s very sad it took this long to get here and it’s very sad it took for phos to go through what they’ve gone through, but i’m glad miss ichikawa is making a case for pacifism.

I am very mean for thinking this but: I really need to see Cinna attacking and then realizing how utterly pointless is against the anti-mercury protection. I'm sure I wont have this either but, also I need them to question and compare Phos from before and now and fully realize the damage.

They shut phos out of their life for good: will they retrace their steps and regret not being more collaborative when phos asked them for help? Will they feel guilty? Or will they just straight up not care?

Hello, AGAIN I come with speculations, this time about the synthetic crystals: Padpa really knows something about the fragments made in the moon and that "reference" they told Rutile about it's probably a way to tell them "check on that thing, there's something happening". I think that because Rutile looks rather taciturn while holding that one piece Padpa left. That and the quote marks used in "gift" and "reference" in the mangadex translation. WONDERS.

i thought padpa meant it literally, like ‘here, use this piece to repair me. its just a reference, i know you can make one on your own’ or smth like that to preserve rutile’s pride.
this opens a whole new folder on ‘shady things the lunarians are doing to our pebbles’ and makes me dread next chapter and all those references to phos’ 200 years memories
HELLO I COME HERE KICKING THE DOOR OPEN CUZ I HAVE BIG THEORY TIME. Phos is basically very plant based and we have seen all the symbolism involved around it just now so: where are the seeds? I think, considering Ichikawa already touched the subject of reproducing plants before, Phos might be copied or become many of themselves at some point, because their inclusions are that special enough to be capable of work in little amounts. So: Phosphophyllite fragments might work as seeds.
