A very lazy day
when: may 1st where: hospital cafeteria who: @dantehart
Orlaith was busy rummaging in a large bag as she explained her predicament to Dante. He’d accepted her summons for help when she’d spotted him in the emergency room earlier. “Okay, so— my favourite sandwich place close enough to the hospital I can pop out to get lunch has closed. Well, not closed, it’s too good for that. They’ve moved to larger premises, which is great for them, but not so great for me ‘cause now they’re too far away for me to go for lunch.” There wasn’t an unlimited amount of time to go and fetch your sandwich. There wasn’t even a set amount of time, when you were a nurse. Her pager could go off at any time. Speed was the key. “It’s disappointing, but luckily there’s like— five other sandwich shops close enough. They come and go so fast. One place closes and it seems like five new ones crop up to take its place. Anyway—” She gestured to the row of wrapped sandwiches she’d been placing on the table as she spoke.
“These are sandwiches from the five closest places. I have to decide which one is the best and will become my new lunchtime sandwich shop.” It was an extremely important task; one she knew Dante would understand. “They’re all the same, for fairness. What I figure is, we come up with some categories — sogginess, for example, because sometimes I get my sandwich and then can’t eat it until later, so if it’s not engineered in a way that prevents soggy bread, it’s no good — and rank them. You in?” Orlaith couldn’t imagine Dante saying no when eating was involved.
I decided to do it for myself, was thinking, woke up....

There Will Be Bubbles || oliver/dante
Beast blood making his journey to Dante's room pleasant he finally approached the man's door and hesitated a moment. He knew Dante must smell him and knew he was there, but he couldn't really help the nervous pause at the door before he knocked. Dante had been so nice to him thus far, he was sort of waiting for it to all crumble. He hoped it wouldn't, but one had to always be alert.
After knocking, Oliver slipped inside, finding the door open. He spied Dante and smirked. "Dangerous to leave your door open when you have someone wanting to kill you running about..." Oliver teased and shut it behind him. "So...got that bath running?"
