Little Surprises / Closed

It had been over a year since Jo had been back on earth and to her standards she had been doing a pretty good job fitting in back with the living. She was still working at the bar Pete owned (the man who found her), living above it, and staying out of the hunting business. Okay, that last part was a lie, but she was trying to. 

Now that she was an angel, which she still didn’t agree with, Castiel would sometimes come to find her for help. Jo would always tell him that all the information was a need to know basis and any other stories he had he should keep to himself. Mainly about the Winchesters, they were the one thing that would toss her right back into the life.

Jo was happy where she was, in her nice little bubble where no one knew her. They knew her as Jo the bar keep who was sweet as pie and always kept the beer cold. It reminded her of her mother. which was more then the happy ending she had pictured. 

So when the bell dinged as the front door open she didn’t think anything of it. A Monday night, pretty late, but when you worked at a dive bar on the side of the road strangers where your specialty. After she was done wiping down the back side of the bar she turned around to help her new patron. “Welcome to Pete’s what ca-” The rag dropped out of her hand as she knew her world would soon be turned upside down.
