One last Brownells Customer  Sunday Gunday with Danny Moore & his Dan Wesson 1911 collection! "I have always liked the 1911 platform, and back in 2009 I was able to get my very first really good one.  I found a Dan Wesson CCO with the serial number 17. I got the idea to try to get another Dan Wesson with the same serial number the following year. I contacted the factory and eventually ended up with a Guardian 9mm, serial number 17.  The year after, I tried to get a Guardian 45 with same 17 number, but it wasn’t possible. The factory guys got me number 417, instead. My fourth 17 was a Dan Wesson ECO. I call them my “Number 17 Family.” I put custom grips on three, and got really nice carry leather for them all. As long as I am able, these four guns will remain together. Hopefully the next owner will be able to keep the family together, too."

Even though this Dan Wesson CCO is beautiful, I still carry it frequently. Safe queens don't save lifes!
