Thinking about names again. Rambles ahead.
Going through another cycle of "oooh but what if I changed my name again"
Desperately wish it was as easy as it is in a video game. I wish I could just go by something different for a few days, just for fun, and go back. My name feels like home, but sometimes I just want to take a vacation.
If this sticks around for another couple weeks I might ask close friends to help me try it out.
Even if I did get something I liked though... I don't want to leave anything behind. I like my given name, and I don't want it to be dead or left behind. I'm REALLY attached to Daphne but I like that it has coequal status. I could go by "Name_im_considering Daphne Lastname" I guess, and keep calling things daphpunk, but I don't know. I could keep my official name and go by Name_im_considering as an unofficial nickname but. Idk how to balance that. Especially since one of the things I find appealing about Name_im_considering is that it has a nickname built in.
