Hey! This is a really nice question! For this questions, we’ve got to see a bunch of stuff, and let’s work our way through them and then get to an example! We’ll obviously keep it as brief as we can, since as I always say, it’ll take us a good phD thesis and more for each and every position.
Firstly, which planets are your atmakarka and darakarka? It’s important to see this to relate to the qualities of each planet and their relationships with each other. Saturn would behave very differently with Venus, as it would with Jupiter. So it’s important to know which planets. Further, we have to see if the planets get along at all, even regardless of a chart. Saturn and Mars? Eh tough match, but still a lot to see, this would cause a lot of fights in general. Venus and mercury? Pretty good, happy and prosperous relationship. Further, certain planets conjunct can form certain yogas together, for example mercury and sun will form Bodh-Aditya yoga in addition to their roles as atmarkaka and darakarka, so it’ll bleed into the relationship too!
Secondly, which house is it formed it? What is the ascendant of the chart where it’s formed? What sign is it formed it? What are the house rulerships of the atmakarka and darakarka planets? You see, if the ownerships of the atmakarka and darakarka is a trine (5th,11th or 9th house) or a Kendra (1st,4th,7th or 10th), and they are conjunct, it’s the formation of a raj yoga. Which type? We won’t know we’ll enough, but they will bring prosperity in different forms depending on which kind it is. Even better if the conjunction occurs in a Kendra house itself! Further, if the rulership is of a malefic house is here (6th,8th or 12th) and the conjunction occurs in a malefic house, we’ll get vipreet raj yoga which would reverse fortunes (we can see it as marriage will get you from rags to riches or visa versa depending on different aspects).
Similarly, a chart will have maleficent or benefits depending on the ascendant of the chart other than general ascendants. Like for Taurus a, Jupiter will be malefic despite being a natural benefic. So a malefic and benefic conjunction is bad, similarly with degrees you can see who will be the dominating party and so on, obviously darakarka will be lower so it’ll be leading the conjunction here, but through nakshatras we can see who will be in better dignity.
Let’s go with an example, say your atmakarka is Jupiter and your darakarka is moon. They’re sitting in the 10th house, in Gemini. The ascendant becomes Virgo naturally here. Let’s say moon is in mrigshira at 2’ and Jupiter is in punarvasu at 27’.
Firstly, a gaj-kesari yoga is formed here, so we can see that through the spouse the 10th house of career and reputation will be activated. Your soul purpose and meeting your spouse will be largely material and your spouse’s family will be cardinal in (4th from 7th house) forming your character, especially his mother. You will also see that your father will be important in your relationship with your spouse, your father will also benefit from the marriage. Your Jupiter (punarvasu here) will be a caretaker and go through tribunals to serve your karma (like Lord Ram), you will also have tribunals related to your spouse and their image in the open. Your spouse may also travel a lot and be very deep into research, their life purpose may be to research or find a cure to something, maybe even as their career. They will also pay karma to you by form of supporting you through the tribunals you face.
Overall a conjunction like this is heavily karmic and usually a due to both sides will be paid. However it’s important to see the placement in totality. Hope it works! Loads of love and feel free to send me any doubts!!
Hiii....💞 . I have seen astrologers saying that if 7th lord is Saturn, then it would give a tall, sturdy, and not so beautiful spouse. But then nakshatra comes into play . Saturn in rohini nakshatra. Rohini is about pure and beautiful looks. Does that mean that spouse would be beautiful???. People often say about planets but they seem to forget about nakshatra.
Heyy
I like tall skinny guys 😂 saturn gives a good height, and bone structure. And they're usually the ones who don't put on too much weight so they won't get lazy on you and let themself go. Saturn is about discipline after all.
I'm sorry but we don't tolerate saturnian hate on this blog 😂 even when some place with cap/ Aqua placements drive us crazy
Let's unpack this - firstly, If saturn rules your 7th house I don't think you'd find someone with saturnine features unappealing.
Idk, I personally find the lean skinny saturn build really sexy? I have saturn in the 7th.
7th lord is in Rohini which is ruled by the moon. So they could have softly rounded features. Or since it's saturn in Rohini, they may have had braces at some point and have a really pretty mouth / set when you meet them.
Rohini is venus and moon ruled so they'd be better looking than the average saturnian placement. More rounded and charming. Softer. I think they would take good care of themself. Saturn is very very concerned about public image. That's why saturn doms are usually so respected. They take care of how they dress, walk, eat, act, behave. They're so conscious about themself. I wouldn't worry about them being unattractive. They may not be the hottest person in the room like venus / Mars /sun doms but bleh. You've got saturn - moon a d venus at work. I wouldn't worry about them not being nice to look at.
You should also look at your darakarka for their build. A friend of mine has a mercury darakarka and her longest most stable relationship was with a virgo sun and her ex was someone everyone respected for his coding skills and intelligence.
Hi! I wanted to ask you something about vedic placements of mine
I have a venus, Jupiter and mercury (darakaraka) in my 7th house in vedic chart in uttarabhadrapada nakshtara. And Mercury in 7th in navamsa chart. I had the question what does the uttarabhadrapada mean in terms of spouse, because from what I know all the three planets which indicates marriage in are in Saturn nakshtara and Saturn is not a good planet in terms of results in vedic.
I also wanted to confirm if this means an older partner or not because the mercury as darakaraka and in 7th in navamsa I also felt they are going to be younger but uttarabhadrapada changes it all for me ? How does this combination work in your opinion?
💗
Who told you Saturn doesn't give good results, I'll punch them lol /hj
Nakshatra wise, Saturn ruled ones are considered the most auspicious, and good for you I know a bit about Uttarabhadrapada because it came up while I was researching my moon's nakshatra (Purvabhadrapada).
It's especially considered auspicious for material wealth, though the twist here is that while Purvabhadrapada learns to leave material for spiritual wisdom, Uttarabhadrapada seeks in the spiritual in the material, which might be a cause of dissatisfaction in their end regardless of how much they have. Pisces mercury in general is not good for the traditional mercury stuff by itself, but you have exalted Venus (Pisces venus right? Lol) and Jupiter in it's own sign, I doubt you have to worry about negative results. Unless your DK is touched by Saturn by aspects, I wouldn't say you'll have a significant age difference tbh, simply having a Saturn ruled nakshatra doesn't entirely qualify as having an older spouse.
As for how I'd describe the placements itself, very creative and imaginative, someone who focuses on healing, is very charismatic in personal connection, could have musical interests and making money through their hobby and passion. Someone with a good voice. Could be really into escapism.
hello, If you can, can you interept my chart for fs too. It's alright if you don't want to. Thanks.
Hola ☺️
we look at the D1 which is your basic birth chart, and the D9, a divisional chart to see how your planets are supported. The D9 may not feel relevant up until you get married, activate long term contract or you're 36. The more you work on your nodal purpose, the stronger your D9 resonates
Right off the bat this is someone
who takes WORDS very very seriously.
Your word should be as good as a promise. Theirs are. Righteousness. Emperor energy. Provider. Your dk in cancer : they're very emotionally sensitive. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Purva phalguni Nakshatra.Arjuna from Mahabharata. Single minded focus. Direct. Intuitive. Emotional reactions/intelligence
So you've got quite the stellium there in ardra which is about starting over post storm. It's awakening to cruelty and learning to deal with it. Your 7th house falls under Sagittarius ( Purva Ashadha Nakshatra).
♐This Nakshatra is about idealism, keeping to a noble moral code. Your ideal partner is someone who could be religious or spiritual. They're fair and always do the right thing. There's a real sense of duty, charm and authority. (sun, Jupiter, venus) Probably a spiritual leader or comes from a family of priests / local authority figures. Since your 7th house is in Sagittarius, and Jupiter is in purva phalguni there's a really high chance of them having a high work position.
🤴Something about holding a seat of power. Could work out of bed/ couch. (purva phalguni is represented by the front legs of a cot)
♒♌The ruler of your 7th house, Jupiter is in LEO.7th from it is aquarius. This indicates that you could meet your spouse in a tech environment or while volunteering on a social welfare project. You may also meet them online, say in a chat forum, oon a dating / matrimonial site, or even LinkedIn?
💫Jupiter in the third, you may have gone to school, lived in a similar neighborhood as a child. They're sharp, witty, intelligent and have a playful, confident aura. This is someone who lives the limelight. Lifepath 3 or this may be a significant number for them and you since you're also a Gemini rising. They feel their best when they get to shine.
💛❣️This is someone you could bond with over your progressive ideas/ hobbies. May even start out as friends. With your Jupiter in LEO, this future spouse (husband. if you don't identify as a straight girl, DM me so I can interpret the chart better for you. ) is someone who holds a leadership position, is a gifted communicator and uses their voice for a good cause. #loveisfriendship? They could be super touch oriented since leos are super affectionate. Hugs + cuddling + random compliments + gifts + day trips. They're generous when it come to third house matters. Spa day, buys you books, takea you to stand up comedy shows, plays, (political) debates etc.?
♊🦁Loves a chance to show off what they know. Like it or lump it, they're generous (Jupiter) with their words (3rd house)
🎤He could be really involved in travel, philosophical discussions.
In D9, Your darakarka, Mars, is in Virgo in the same house as Jupiter. This future spouse Inspires you to take action. 🏂
They also help you plan things and you trust them to show you how to be better by their example. They help you fine tune aspects of yourself, appararance and also help with any projects or work you take on.
Mentors +Inspires you.
It's like they unlock a certain sense of 🍀✨optimism+ luck 🍀✨ within you.
Could see you as their personal lucky charm. They could be really attracted to the way you express yourself, your hip, the outsides of the gut / intestinal region. Felix felicis energy
If earlier you doubted if you could do soemthing, this person pushes you to go after your dreams. They could be a little critical and pay too much attention to details sometimes, but they will do whatever it takes to help you succeed. Virgo, at the end of the day is a sign of service, planning and self improvement. The maiden is seen to be separating the wheat from the chaff. .
Saturn in 2nd house of D9 : your traditions, values are something you work on. You could find yourself budgeting better. Really learn how to manage money. You instill value for money within the family. Focused on retirement plan / house. Could live in a brick house post marriage. Disciplined /conservative household. Fixed stable income.
Your spouse would have a long life.
You guys could travel a lot together staying at rustic places. I'm feeling a bit of living odd rhe land / close to nature kind of a vibe.
In the d1, your Mars is in Cancer. This is a super protective kind of energy. Your fs is such a sweetheart. They'd cherish and love you fondly. It may take a little time for them to open up and they may Sometimes retreat if they feel if they have had their feelings hurt. They need to know they can trust you with their soft (bleeding heart). It's liek you're their baby, they just wanna bundle you up, keep you cozy, feed you, snuggle and all that good romcom stuff. Vacations this. Thr beach. Home stays. 🏡🏖️❤️
Cancerians can Sometimes take on too much of other people's energy so if you were to be able to help them feel safe with you, there's no one who loves more fiercely than a crab. I may be a tad bit biased since it's my sun sign but I stayed up till 2am reading @astrognossienne 's cancer appreciation posts and it helped me love myself a little more cuz it all felt true for me + other cancer suns I know.
👨👩👧☺️On that note, since your MARS is in Cancer and you're young, pleaseee try not to be taken in by people who make it appear that they're gonna be with you forever. With cancer Mars security, the promise of forever, the childhood sweetheart, marriage trope can be a major aphrodisiac. You may not relate much to this untill you're married / 35ish since the Navamsa rules the later years.
❤️🦁🥵This FS is someone really caring and encouraging. This is backed by your Jupiter in LEO which makes for someone who can actually be the ideal man in a sense. Purva phalguni Nakshatra is also known for being sensual af and super playful + confident. The typical traditional man. I don't think this is someone who backs down from a fight when he is convinced he is in the right.
🥺Mercury rules your first house(Gemini rising) , and Jupiter your tenth. You and your mom in law may not be the best of friends. Or, if u do get along well, chances are you guys have really different personal values. She may think you're too business minded (Mercury) and you may think she is too much of a sage /Hippie. (Jupiter)
🔴🌾🟣Virgo is also the sign of healing and with your Virgo Jupiter + Mars in the 7th house in the Navamsa it's highly likely you could meet him at a medical seminar / conference if you do take up medicine.
Your fs could come across really bossy(Leo Jupiter in d1) when you first meet them and as you get to know them you'd see how much they do(D9 virgo jupiter( for the people they love.
Venus + Mercury in 3rd house in d9: communication, words of affirmation, praise, exchange of ideas. Sending each other a bunch of detailed texts. Super romantic poems or essay style texts. A whole lot of thinking, reading, exchange of ideas. Or your brother / sister in law could be really pretty/ enjoy spoiling you, introducing you to good food and fine experiences. You'd get along well.
Yep, that's all I have for today 💖
I hope some of this fits when you finally do meet the one you're to spend your life with 💙💙💙💙💙
Love,
Jahn
(whenever that is, it would mean so much to me to hear how any of this resonated)
Remember when I mentioned the Mahabharata earlier? Here's the myth :
Does the house and sign in which the darkaraka planet is placed (and the planets in them) have any significance on your future spouse/ the way you meet them?
For reference, I have a sun darakaraka in my Taurus 12th house, along with Mercury and Mars.
Does that mean my fs might have Taurean qualities (etc.)?
Thank you if you take the time to respond to this ❤
Yep, they could have major Taurus placements in their birth chart - sun, moon or rising
Because of this you guys could have important 12th house synastry since your sun is in the 12th.
I've noticed that some couples have similar aspects in their chart.
Check where venus and sun Nakshatra lord are placed for more on which area if life they may boost (sun (Krittika), moon (Bharani), Mars (Mrigashira))
Having either luminaries as your DK is like the universe saying "so yeah, since you can't figure this shit out on your own, your spouse is going to be more you than you" and it's freaking hilarious
I’m so confused 😭 I wanna understand Vedic astrology and I just don’t know where to begin, I figured out my darakaraka is Taurus but idk what that means
Oh? I think it's the same with the basics, you have the foundations of astrology that you have to learn through the vedic perspective, and then the nuances of seeing the various layers of it. The only problem is that there's so many little things that make up the entirety of vedic astrology that they more you learn, the more it feels like you're a noob at it 💀 but I have to say, vedic astrology helped me understand life so much better.
It goes into the nitty gritty of explaining a lot.
Which planet is your darakarka in? I also have it in Taurus, but it's my sun.
So, basically darakarka is the significator of the spouse, since it's the opposite of atmakarka in a way. The lowest degree holding planet in in your chart is considered the DK while the planet with the highest degree is your Atmakarka (atma = soul, significator of the native's soul/self), it's a very easy way to predict how your spouse is going to be like.
Considering that your DK is in Taurus, your future spouse is going to exhibit Taurus qualities but this is where the planet can be really important, it acts like a filter for the actual results. A Taurus sun DK is going to be different than a Taurus venus or moon DK, it's also important to look at the nakshatra of the sign to see if it's compatible with the planet. For example, I have sun as my darakarka but while it's in Taurus, it's also in the nakshatra of Krittika which is more of less "" ruled "" by the sun so it's a bit more beneficial in a way. My spouse will likely exhibit more of sun related traits than the venusian ones, likely a vibe relating to Leo or Aries if I had to give an example, though of course, you have to consider how the planet is doing by itself. Which house it is in, which aspects are being received.
Subsequently, I just realized that the ganeshaspeaks website talks about nakshatra's very blatant man/woman personality, it can be used to get an idea of how they might be like by nakshatra alone. Though, it's simplifying things a bit.
