Okay I just had the weirdest experience
I found the band The Dresden Dolls through random reccomendations on my playlists, liked it and listened to their first album
Now their second on that record is called "Coin-Operated Boy" and I knew the melody like the first 30 seconds or so, this melody and lyrics have lived rent-free in my head for years now
THEY USED IT IN A AUSTRIAN TV-AD FOR MARMELADE!!!
Knowing the whole song now, which completely different in tone,I wanna know who thought that using this song to advertise:
"Darbo Fruchtikus"
Why???
I also found out the company's full name is Adolf Darbo AG, which I never knew because all their packaging and ads only say "Darbo" and I think I get why Can reccomend the Dresden Dolls if you like cabaret with like a punky edge
