The Barn

It was two days after Jeremiah had been brought home when his new mom and aunt had set up a 'playdate' for him. Slowly but surely, Jeremiah was getting introduced to his new family. He liked it this way, though. No big party or gathering where he would have to try to remember who everyone was. No, this way, he was able to get to meet everyone one by one, or sometimes two at a time.

Today, he was getting to meet with his cousin, Darcia. They were to be meeting outside, which gave them plenty of options to do. Jeremiah was sitting on this one huge rock, drawing mindlessly in the dirt with a stick he had found when he heard the light footsteps coming his way.
