You thank Eiona for the cloak and continue deeper into the city. As you pass [Cabo] you think you see them shooting you an icy stare. You hope they aren’t mad at you.

You soon find yourself near a large staircase leading higher up the side of the city. You notice a [Metal Gate] on the side of the stairs that appears to be locked. You can’t help but wonder where that door leads.

Sitting idly is a familiar robotic face, [Daricom-3] They are just as blank as when you first met them, emotionlessly muttering statistics about the weather.

The strangest thing in this part of town is...Well to be honest the smell. There is a pungent stench of urine and vomit coming from a [Strange Purple Creature].

Large [Pulsating Egg Sacs] are strewn about around a rickety [Preacher’s Platform] where a large purple [Flag] hangs somberly.

The creature is wearing nothing but tattered rags and is shouting in a loud high pitched screech you can barely understand.

You understood almost none of those words. Bile falls from the tiny mouth of the creature, and you start to remember what Floren warned you about...

So this is the [Insect Animus] Floren told you about... You have no idea what they are talking about but it doesn’t sound pleasant.

The Animus turns and locks it’s eye stalks onto you, shouting even louder.

While you might be young, you already know that offering to have your skin flayed off isn’t a nice way to greet people.

Walk away from Lane and ASK Daricom-3 about the weather for the next few weeks, wouldn’t wanna be soak n’ wet and melt slowly.

You have a feeling that Lane isn’t going to be the best person to talk to. Even though you are still terribly confused about what exactly the [Society of the Molted] does.

You awkwardly shuffle away, trying to make it look like you have something very important to discuss with Daricom-3

Lane shouts at you as you walk away. They don’t sound angry they actually sound kinda sad. You have no idea if they are serious or just crazy, but it seems like the only way you can find out involves flaying your skin off, and that seems like something you can only do once.

You walk up to farming robot and try to make small talk.

Surprisingly Daricom-3 doesn’t respond with their usually dull monotone.Their eye flashes yellow and they try to resume their neutral tone of voice.

So is the lack of personality just an act? You aren’t sure what to make of this new information.

This has been a very confusing day.

The sad beeping continues, and Daricom-3′s eye continues to glow a dejected blue. Luckily, the resident romance expert steps in to help.

Gestalt’s words of encouragement seem to work, and Daricom-3 rolls away beeping a happy tune.

You wish them all the best.

Robots can’t blush but you have a feeling the bright pink color in Daricom-3′s eye might imply embarrassment.

Gestalt is right, this sounds like an unsolvable situation.

and Ron-77 loves Daricom-3

No matter what solution you envision, someone always ends up left out of the romance.

Daricom-3 makes a dejected beeping noise and seems to physically shrink back in self pity.Your heart goes out to the sad little robot.

From what you have seen of romance so far it only seems to make people feel worse, you wonder why anyone even bothers?

Ask: Flaying off skin sounds painful, why would you do that to us?

Cal gives you several silent looks pleading with you to not talk to the insect, but your curiosity takes over and you decide to talk to the stranger.

The insect swivels their long gangly head and looks down at you with two large compound eyes.

Lane works themselves into a fervor, shouting even louder until you can’t understand what they saying anymore.

From what you could gather, the [Society of the Molted] changes into insects to protect themselves from the Rot?While in isolation that doesn’t sound like a bad solution... the idea of having your skin peeled off is rather unappealing.

Cal awkwardly tries to steer you away from Lane by any means necessary. It is clear that Cal wants to do anything else right now, even if it means talking to Daricom-3.

Head further to the Harbor

You head further into the daffodil farms.

The strange [Orange Plants] grow thicker and thicker until it obscures the horizon.The fences get a bit lower and the orange plants are soon all you can see.

As you and your team walk along the fence, you hear a mechanical noise, and you just barely see [Two Robots] moving around on the other side of the fence.

One robot is large and low to the ground, with treads that wir as they roll away.The other robot is small and hovers above your head, it seems to be tossing [Seeds] behind the other robot.

Before you can make sense of the two machines they vanish around the edge of the fence.

You think about your experiences with [20511819] and the [Junk Golem] and wonder what these two robots will be like.

Once again you introduce yourself and every member of your party, and Eiona hands over their papers.

So you should be looking for a [Guard] to let you into the city. Part of you realizes that without Eiona, you might have run into trouble. Neither you or Gestalt have any papers and you aren’t sure what Cal has in their parents journal.

Your good deed is paying off, if you hadn’t helped Eiona you might not have gotten into the city.

You nod politely at the two robots, only Ron-77 acknowledges you.

Ron-77 sounds almost insulted at Cabo not calling today a ‘good day.’

When Daricom-3 finally speaks, it is low and resonate, like they are speaking from underwater. They have no emotion in their voice, only cold facts about the weather.

It might rain? That would be bad for you considering how water damages your body.

From Cabo’s tired expression, you can tell that the robots must get pretty easily distracted.

What Should We Do Now?

Thank them for their time before moving in.

You thank Bason, who goes back to their guard duty.

Heading further down the trail you see a large [Storage Barn] full of pulleys and bales of [Dromo]

You can see inside the barn and you notice that there is a small set of doors that leads [OUT] into the Dromo fields.

Standing in front of the barn is a small figure who looks remarkably similar to Bason, you assume they must be [Cabo], the parent Bason talked about.

They are arguing with the two [Robots] you saw tending the fields earlier.

The robot named [Ron-77] has a soft high pitched voice and they are fawning over the larger boxy robot, who seems completely zoned out at the moment.

Cabo turns around to see you and your team, they almost go for their sword, but they hesitate.

Cabo seems annoyed that you witnessed their argument, but they shrug and seem to accept your presence.

Meanwhile, Ron-77 continues to serenade the other robot in a passionate alto.
