darius was in the cult for a few more years, the leadership being passed around like a hot potato upon the death of venable. it was quite a blur how the cult finally ended, those memories locked away in a tight, firm box that he never really wanted to revisit. it took even longer in therapy to work through the brainwashing that he went through in that place. the trauma was something that he knew he’d never quite understand.
he was trying everyday to get better, to have a life and not let what happened to him when he was a teenager stain him forever and ever. it was hard, but he had to try. even getting groceries was an adventure... especially today.’’jen.....?’’
