I believe we’re all familiar with the concept of dark!Elsa. But who would attend on her?
Dark!Ingrid.
Just as loyal, devoted, obedient, and dedicated as ever. Just as faithful. Committed to doing the right thing...as defined by Elsa. And not at all squeamish.
And just as quiet, modest, and gentle. Perfect to put someone at ease as she escorts them to the castle, undresses and bathes them, and prepares them for Her Majesty’s bedchamber. She envies them the honour.
On the other hand, her Queen would not be so timid as our Elsa. Dark!Elsa would have no problem making the first move, or asking for what she wants. And by “asking” I mean “commanding”. Which suits Ingrid completely. It is an honour, and an intoxicating thrill, to serve.
Which would help when she explains to Ingrid that the Queen has many enemies, many people who would wish her harm. And to protect the Queen, certain things must be done. Quietly. Discreetly. Tidily. And who can she trust besides her little Ingrid?
Oh, everyone in Arendelle knows to beware the Ice Queen. But in the corridors of power, without intending or fully realising, Ingrid doesn’t need sorcery to cast a chill of her own.
