The Figure extended what looked to be a hand. Jordan stared at it in confusion for a few seconds. A slight smile crossed his face when he realized what this meant. He quickly raised his hand, unsure of what to do next. The figure, growing impatient grabbed his wrist only a few inches below his GodMark. Jordan caught on and grabbed the figure’s wrist as well. As soon as he did this, a coil of the shadowy aura wrapped around his hand and made its way across their joined hands. Jordan stared, seemingly fascinated and yet disturbed by the thing. When the coil of darkness reached his GodMark, it separated. One piece continued up his sleeve and towards his chest. The other wrapped tightly around the mark on his skin. The pressure on his wrist slowly tightened as the other coil wrapped around his chest, right near his heart. Oh Gods. It hurt. It hurt so much. He could feel the shadows burning away his Mark, while the coil on his chest felt like it was burning into his skin trying to reach in and corrupt his heart and soul. He squirmed, but could not break the Shadow’s grip on him. As the pain intensified, he could see the blackness in his vision grow ever larger. The pain became too much for him to handle and he quickly passed out.
