Review: Clevatess
Dark beasts and the fate of mankind, yet somehow still a very personal story about a hero’s quest. Clevatess hits hard and carries quickly through a story about when an unimaginable power adopts a child on a whim. Some episodes cover rather dark material, specifically the episode about the bandits, but overall a great story I recommend. Starting with a group of heroes being slaughtered by the titular Clevatess, then a revival of Alicia to follow and aid the lord of dark beasts, the group quickly gains traction as they find themselves involved with a war between nations, being controlled by one of Clevatess’s peers. Overall this story ends too abruptly for my liking. Definitely could have used another 12 episodes though the story mostly wraps up ok in the original 12. I give it a 4 out of 5.
