Booktok's obsession.

If you haven't already known, booktok really loves their dark haired men, especially the love interests. Like a lot.

When it comes to the love interest, it's usually the first guy being a blonde sweetheart and the second guy being a dark haired bad boy.

I've seen people who won't even read books if there's a blonde love interest. A hair color shouldn't stop you from reading, tf?

They even make slander videos like it's not that serious, chill out?

And the way they word things is strange... "He needs to have dark hair, not blonde! Blondes are the worst! Dark haired men are the best!" Etc, etc.
