Silly thing about my first impression of 'The Batman Who Laughs':

When I first saw it I thought it was the Joker from the Judge Dredd crossover where the Joker teams up with Dredd villains 'The Dark Judges' who are like if the four horsemen of the apocalypse were into law enforcement.

When the Joker becomes a dark judge he gets given a new costume and it looks pretty rubbish. It's mostly the Joker in a leather biker jacket.

But the thing is the Batman Who Laughs design is pretty much what the Dark Judge Joker should have looked like. Like, TBWL and Judge Death have exactly the same smile. So when I saw the Batman Who Laughs I gaslit myself into believing that was how the design actually looked.

Then I found out what the actual origin was and I was like "Oh..."

asking you because you seem to know i remember there being a 2000ad comic about dark judges appearing in the future. there was some talk about 'defeating death with science' (something like that, not sure excatly) but those people got killed anyway IIRC. my question is: do you know/remember the name of that comic?
