Me, sitting on my front porch idly sipping diet Pepsi next to a yard sign that reads "Within context, Dark Origin wasn't that bad. Especially a when read as a stand alone reimagining/retelling of Eddie and Venom's origin instead of as something trying to be a replacement or retcon of existing canon. Many of the scenes between Eddie and the symbiote were well done and the characterization of Eddie's reckless and wholehearted acceptance of the bond and the body horror associated with it is a rare and refreshing treat when taken with a grain of salt and, again, treated as a stand alone story/ partial au. Also the dialogue in several scenes was pretty good"
