Sam had always hated the hunting life, but no matter what he tried to escape it, it was always useless. When all else failed, Sam turned desperate. In secret, he began studying witchcraft and spells; anything that might be able to turn his life around - and around it turned, more than he ever expected. One night, while his brother and father were gone on a hunt, leaving the teenager alone in a shitty motel, Sam did the unthinkable: he summoned a demon. Or so he thought, because the blond man in front of him was more than just a demon.

Without knowing how, Sam had accidentally summoned Lucifer himself. The devil was surprised, but when his eyes fell on the boy in front of him - who desperately clung to the dagger in his hands and whose eyes were wide with shock - he actually smiled. The tension in Sam melted away when he realized Lucifer would not do him any harm - not yet at least - and instead asked why he summoned him.

And Sam, literally at the end of what he was able to take, spilled everything. How he wanted this life to end, how he despised the hate his family had for him and how he would rather drive the dagger in his hands through his heart than live just one more day like this. He did not expect anything, not even that Lucifer actually listened, but he did. And when the blond held out his hand, the smile still on his lips, Sam took it with no hesitation.

“You deserve to be a king,” Lucifer said with his soothing and alluring voice, which prompted Sam to step into the circle that was meant to keep the devil trapped. “And I am going to make you one.” It was then that Lucifer suddenly vanished, taking the boy with him into the darkness that had devoured the innocent soul. But this time there was no pain ahead, no more rejection and no more blame. No, Lucifer finally took Sam home.
