akechi goro and refusing to let go of the chains that are and will choke him to death, bcs they were the only thing holding up over the abyss. finally a light reached him, hands that would pull him out of the dark, but the abyss rose up. so he opened his eyes, he pushed the hands back to the light so they would be safe, then he let go. free from the chains, into the maws of the abyss, the darkness he had feared and fought against for so long (he wants to live, no he doesn't want to fall, he doesn't want to give up the glimpse of freedom from this hell that helped him hold on for so long, but this is what he chooses. at the first light in his life, he gains the courage to face the thing he feared the most, to choose something he never could before. for that light. the boy who had cursed everything in his life could finally do something to save, no longer nothing but a curse) (finally someone reached him, but for someone who chose to do good the first moment of being free, his was a regretful tragedy from start to finish).
