@darkconsumed {Nat} gets a lighthearted starter
"Okay, check it -- there's this old convent out here that got turned into a museum. But back in the day, folks believed it was a boarding house for vampires."
The sun was setting on the French Quarter and Faith had done some reading about the local legends and myths -- since she and Natalie had first met while the Slayer was chasing a loup-garou when they were just girls. A number of years, wrinkles, and a few pounds later (thank the Cafe du Monde for that, as well as the Chosen One's aging metabolism), life had taken Faith and the fierce Nat Scatorccio in different directions, but being back here together ... it felt right. Put an extra spring in her step, especially as the two women walked off the dinner they just shared.
"They called them Casket Girls, or... something in French like Filles ala Cassette," she said, though the accent was bad. Faith always liked telling stories, trying to gauge whether Nat was believing her or not. "They came over from France and were supposed to be married off to the local men, but when they showed up, they had bloodshot eyes and were super pale from the boat ride. Some other weird shit happened too, but the locals thought they were actual vampires sent to the new world with little purses -- or caskets -- full of their personals."
