Hi! I'm currently working on my horror Forged In the Dark game DARKDATA! I'm the only person working in it, and all the "art" you see related to it is made by me, including the logo and character sheets!

It's still the demo phase and being worked on every day. It would mean a lot to me if you could take a look, if you think it's something you would be interested in.

I plan to post more here on Tumblr as I work. I'll only really post on Itch.io to update the game.

"Sacrifice your friends to appease the..." What? Why would I do that? These are my FRIENDS, chat! We spent all this time - Why is this even a suggestion? This - This is what the fucking guy does at the end of the - fucking Lovecraft movie that make you turn the TV off! We are in the middle of the OCEAN. What - Why - How would I get back to land?? I don't know how to drive a ship! Why would I- Why am I even considering - This - What would that DO for me? (Laughing) You get what I mean? Like, I push off the rest of the Array into the water... Great! Why the fuck did I do that? That wouldn't do anything for me!

"Fine, push ONE off" No! No. ... I mean, I don't know, MAYBE it would do something cool. Yeah, maybe That Which Lurks Under Waves will, like, spare me or something. .... Yeah, okay.

Uh oh

I messed up. Turns out the next update of DARKDATA is not the final version because, I, uh, completely forgot to include a mechanic.

The new final version of the demo is Beta 1.5. The full version will still be 7 USD.

Because I was still working in everything else before I noticed the mistake, this update also has more content for the Lorebook and NPC files.

DARKDATA: Meet The Serpent

Un stratège et un saboteur.

Gee, this took a while. (I got lazy.) At least there's a silver lining to me waiting so long to make this - this playbook has gone through several changes!

Starting Command: VERiFY

The first and most obvious change is the Flesh-Metal Gateway special ability has been replaced with Hardboiled, which I think reflects the feeling of this playbook - and the rest of DARKDATA - a lot better!

All of the Serpent's special abilitirs are about getting to the truth - or avoiding deception.

The Serpent playbook is all about finding the truth and in general being a detective-like character. If your modus operandi is knowing what the fuck is going on, play the Serpent!
