Dream Theme
☁ - For a nightmare.
T hey had been running from something--he couldn't tell what, but it was dark, human-like (as if it was a man) and a lot bigger than he was. Terres was leading the shadow across Hyrule by the hand, running as fast as he could to get away from this thing, before eventually reaching a large lake with a strange house to their right. Unsure of where they were, he followed a path to a bridge and crossed the lake to a small island--only to be trapped there themselves.
The large man had followed them on horseback and ever-so-slowly crossed the bridge on foot, taking his sweet time... almost as if he was toying with them. The thief attempted to get a better look of whoever this was in the night, able to pick out that he was wearing a cape and had dark skin with what looked to be reddish-brown hair; but Dark quickly caught his attention as he pleaded with him to jump into the water. There was only one problem with that, however-- he couldn't swim.
The two of them stood at the edge of the island with their backs facing the water, when Dark suddenly stepped out in front of the undead with his arms held out--almost as if he was trying to protect him. Terres pleaded with the smaller man, begging him to save himself as tears threatened verdant eyes--
But it was too late.
Pale optics widened as they witnessed an entire hand exit through the back of the shadow's stomach, blood spattering all over his clothes; whoever this man was had the ability to attack him as if he only was a shadow, leaving a strange, gaping hole within him as he leaned over and fell to the ground. The thief opened his mouth to scream in horror, yet nothing came out...
It was at that moment when Terres suddenly woke up, glossy eyes quickly looking around the around as they adjusting to the night. Reaching up, he was able to feel that tears had actually found their way down his cheeks as he caught his breath, when he frantically looked over to his side in a sudden panic--
Thankfully, Dark had still been sleeping soundly next to him, and just to make himself feel better, the thief closed the distance between them in order to wrap his arms around the other securely, before slowly drifting back to sleep and forgetting about the whole thing.
