"Can we stop discussing if I 'am' or 'arn't' re-married, the answer is I'm not- yet-"
“Whatever it may be, I was not the one to START the discussion.”
Viren knocked lightly on the king's door, he was almost prepared to be turned away immediately considering their last few conversations
Harrow opened the door with a sigh, knowing full well there was only one who would actually knock without speaking up directly after wards. "Enter, Viren." He was writing letters, pip watching from his perch. After Viren's little stunt with the summit all that time ago, he's had to write letter after letter to clean that mess up

The elf had navigated the secret passage as if he had a thousand times, easily making his way into the humans study. He was free of the mirror but still he was in a way trapped, though this time it was in the dark passages of a castle. It was better than the mirror yes but still he wanted more than being refined to a dungeon to wait for Viren to deem it time for a visit. As long as he was not caught he felt it was fine for him to venture out.
So here he was, settled in against the studies desk with a history book in hand reading up on all that he had missed. It was plenty of ground to cover so it would prove a good distraction for now. His eyes studied the pages slowly wanting to take his time reading a book he had never read after a millennia of reading and rereading the same tomes, however he wasn’t so focused that footsteps and the clink of a cane on stone would not catch his attention.
His ear twitched slightly as his eyes left the book to look to the door of the study, it was Viren, he had no reason to run and hide himself if it was this human and so he returned to his book to wait for him to enter. As soon as the doors did part he flipped the page, eyes never leaving the text as he spoke
“All I have asked for are books, and yet you never brought me a single one.”
@darkmagicdad
“Heard you wanted to talk to me?”

Aaravos glanced to the man on the other side of his mirror, irritation clear in his eyes for a brief moment at his words before he relaxed to his normal calmer posture. He moved to the mirror, he hadn’t meant to let that slip out loud and certainly not for the worm to pass it on. He was in a bit of a mood at the moment. It happened when you were confined to an eternal prison, forgotten by the world and left to slowly lose your mind in solitude. He was happy the latter had yet to happen... But he had been forgotten it seemed.
“It may surprise you to hear but I did have a life before this mirror, Lord.”
"Soren do not go near the star elf"
“First of all, he went near me first. Second, he has smooth hands. And he’s sparkly!! I don’t see the problem here. You know. Other than him being an elf.”

@darkmagicdad // Toothless Starter Call
Toothless approaches the human slowly, weary gaze ever fixed on the man’s face. If the boy that occasionally fed him fish taught him anything, it’s that not all humans are scary and evil. Nonetheless, he doesn’t know this human. This human is unfamiliar and has done nothing good - in general context but also for him. If the human fed him fish he likely would be less cautious. But for now, he approaches the man with an expectation for danger.
Sniffing the man, he waits for him to speak or move - just what are his intentions? Most humans prefer to live in villages or caste but this guy is just walking around the woods.
