Life is a winking light in the darkness.
Hayao Miyazaki
first and last words of darkness i. wolves. the main characters.
I figured I’ll just jump on the bandwagon and do one of those things for darkness. It was fun to make, maybe I’ll do one for the side characters as well.
“Don’t depend too much on anyone in this world, because even your own shadow leaves you when you are in darkness.”
Silena smiled. “Mother called the wolf a war hero. She said he won the witch war.”
“I played a role, nothing more. I just tried to help and I’m everything but a war hero.” Connor starred at his hands which started to shake a little. “The witch war was long and bloody and ugly. I did things you don’t want to know about.
Connor Millet. Professional drama queen. But he’s right tho.
“Don’t talk about her like that. She’s still my daughter and I’m sure she had reasons to steal the book.” Ade wasn’t sure which reasons, but they had to exist.
"Yeah, that’s a great daughter you have there.” Connor shook his head and looked at Ade. “I hope for here that you’re right and she didn’t free Marah. If she did ... Hope that god will have mercy on her, because I wont.”
Morrigan. Witch. Thief. Missing. Adopted daughter of Adewale.

“Four hundred years ago, they would have burned you for witchcraft.” Ade turned the copied piece of paper in his hands.
“They did burn me for witchcraft.” Callum sighed. “Those were dark times, my friend.”
