fave thing about darksend is how they got sarah golding(an English actor) doing an American accent to play the main character's very caring mom at the same time she plays the main villain, a ruthless irish crime boss

the best podcast trope is when they get an actor playing multiple roles but with different accents

darksend has the same vibes as those action movie adaptations of children's books with like 12 year old protagonists but they aged the characters to teenagers and got 20something adults to play them. and there's also how they're okay with saying swear words like shit and ass but fuck is out of the question it's gotta be frick or frack
