Getting back to feeling normal
It's been 5.5 weeks since I started exercising again, and I am finally feeling the results. I have more energy and my muscles don't ache as much anymore. After sitting at a desk for 6 years, with absolutely no exercise in my routine, my muscles were frozen/shrunk/unable to stretch. I'm slowly gaining the flexibility back, hopefully soon I will be back to normal. With anxiety issues I was worried people would look at me while working out. I always felt uncomfortable doing it alone, but when my friend had to cancel this week I decided to suck it up and still work out. I found that no one is really looking at you. In fact they are more worried what you think of them while they work out. Lookin' at you guy who sucked it in when I went by, and girl who picked up speed as she passed me. When you exercise, do it for you. As of now I speed walk 3x a week a total of 1.5 miles a day and 45min of yoga. I'm starting slow because I'm literally stuck in a seated position. Eventually I will get up to 6x a week with 1 day being my long day (more miles) and 1 day of rest. I'm not going to feel better unless I get off my ass and do something about it!
