Finished the character challenge!! I interpreted "current favourite" as "favourite from the current arc" because otherwise I didn't know who to draw lol

It's Starlingpaw, Twigbranch, Leopardstar, Mothwing, Darkstar (MV), and Squirrelstar (but I drew her younger, as Squirrelflight)

i wanted some wholesome Darkstar content in my life so I drew a pic of young Darkpaw with her mentor and predecessor, Birchstar!

I also wanted to explore/write down some of Darkstar's earlier past , so I'll put it under a cut:

Birchstar mentored Darkpaw when she was on the older side, around 9 y.o. She instilled a love for mentoring in Darkpaw that lasts for her whole life! The two stayed close even after Darkfrost was made a warrior, much like Darkstar and her former apprentice Reedshine.

Birchstar was leader of RiverClan when SkyClan was driven from the forest. She never told Darkfrost about this, not even on her deathbed. She also swore Snakestar and Milkstar to secrecy, making them promise to never tell Darkstar of the fifth clan or what befell them.

Birchstar lost her ninth life to starvation during RiverClan's great hunger. Following her final death Birchstar, along with Redstar, Dawnstar, and Swiftstar, were sent to the Dark Forest for exiling SkyClan.

Darkstar was devastated when Birchstar was not present to give her a life - she spent her whole ceremony anticipating that Birchstar would offer the ninth and final life, but the leader was nowhere to be found, and Darkstar was never given an explanation for her absence.
